The world has started to change from the past six months without even noticing it.
A peaceful world is to turn into a crazy place, but no one has any idea about it.
The science researched has shown that phenomenal changes have been found, it is not natural but human made. The people have become greedy, they don't care if they are hurting someone by killing them. All they care about is their own benefits.
Six months ago, the government found an illegal activity going on in the second best research lab of XX city. It is shown that an illegal practice was being performed on the people.
And because of it, people were turning into weird creatures and similar to the zombies, they have no sense, no thinking capacity, not that they can recognise their family members after turning into one.
The government however, tried to hide everything by not showcasing it to the citizens. The government was scared that this news would spread fear in the minds of citizens and a bad effect will be seen.
Hence, they tried their best to hide it. However, someone sneaks into the research lab and revealed this secret to the world.
But this news was removed from the television only after its broadcast of two minutes. And the truth remained like a secret only.
From six months to till date, no one mentioned that matter again, as if it never happened.
On one side where Emelie was being forced to think about this matter, the other side was blowing at the moment.
The world, people cannot even think to turn evil, is turning evil slowly. It's only a matter of time before this world will turn into a crazy planet in the whole universe.
The matter government tried to hide and never reveal to the world, it's taking its own form and unable to keep inside.
On the other hand,
Adeline rose from the couch when she received a call, the person on the other hand sounded like he was in a hurry and was forced to be by someone.
She didn't wait any longer and exited her condo.
On the way to the main destination, she called someone, maybe her colleague to come with her.
After a while, they both met at the entrance of the hotel.
" You asked me out in a hurry, what's the matter? ", Jean, who's her former colleague, asked her what's the matter and why she asked him out in the middle of the night.
" I got a call from the hotel twenty minutes ago. The manager reported a case ", Said Adeline as she walked towards the entrance.
Jean grew curious but he was emotionless at the same time. Every time he thinks he would have a good sleep, someone always disturbs him and it's in no way a good sign for his health.
But nonetheless, he cannot complain and have to do as he's required.
They both walked in and asked the front desk lady to call in for the manager.
But why were they receiving reports from the hotel and what identity do they have?
After a few moments, the manager walked into the waiting section. He stopped by them and dared not to smile.... in fact, he was scared.
" We are City police, you called about twenty five minutes ago, reported a death report. Can you take us to the room? ", Adeline asked the manager to take them to the crime scene.
Yeah, Adeline by means no normal citizen. She was....a police woman, working for the government and a good one at that.
So being a police woman, she is always busy at work and never gets any chance to be free without duties.
Hearing that they are police, the manager didn't waste any more time and took them to the room where they found the dead body.
As they grow closer to the crime scene, the stench of the blood becomes even more effective and strong.
The manager covered his nose with his handkerchief and is kinda disgusted, can't stand the horrible smell of the blood.
" Is it here? ", Jean asked.
To his answer, the manager nodes his head. " Yes, it's here. The dead body is still inside ".
Said the manager.
They reached the crime scene. Standing in front of the room, both looked at each other and opened the door...
As the door clicked open, they met a horrible sight. It is not the first time they have seen someone dead.
But what surprised them is....the way the body is torn apart and its condition.
" Adeline, it's kind of strange, don't you think so? ", Jean is feeling uncomfortable. It's the first time he was seeing such a strange case.
Both of them proceeded to wear the gloves and looked around the room.
" Yeah! It's kind of strange. The body is in a mess, the walls are covered in blood marks, the floor is stained with blood. What more...the victim looked sucked and torn by a wild animal. Never seen someone dead with this method ", Said Adeline as she scouted down to mark the flood with the chalk around the body.
" When did you realise that the woman in this room has died ", She asked the manager as her eyes were still looking around.
" Fourty five minutes ago, when one of the staff lady smelled the stench of blood, she reported to the counter and we hurried up here to see what was wrong. It was then when we realised that someone is dead and called the police immediately ", the manager answered genuinely.
" Is she alone or with someone ", Adeline threw another question at him.
" She was here with her lover ", the manager answered and Adeline looked at him...
His answer grabbed her attention. " Where is he now? ", Adeline asked.
" He....our staff saw him leaving the hotel this afternoon".
Adeline and Jean looked at each other after hearing his answer.
" Jean, you go with him and collect the data about her lover, I will do the inspection here ".
" Alright! Be careful ".
Jean left with the manager and Adeline was alone in the room. Adeline was careful and confused at the same time.
" These marks on her body and these scars, by no means they looked like they were made by a human being. It's more like some wild animal has done this...", She murmured to herself and proceeded to look around.
When she saw the balcony, she went to take a look outside.
But to her, nothing looked suspicious.
" Windows are closed tightly, nor the balcony has any signs of someone entering inside. The staff does not look silly to bring an animal inside....so, how does a victim look attacked by an animal? It's strange ", She is honestly very confused.
Nothing in this room makes sense, everything is strange.
It's clear that the victims tried to save herself, she struggled a lot. And the blood marks on the walls around the whole room were the evidence. Seems like she was dragged around in the whole room where she was in her vulnerable state.
The suspect or the killer showed no signs of empathy or pity...the blood around the whole room was showing this.
After she was done with her investigation in the room, she called the police to take the dead body to the lab for an autopsy.
She looked at the room scenery one last time and then exited the room.
" How's the situation here? You got any useful information ", Adeline asked.
" The one who left the hotel, her lover, is named Mael. He and the victim Renee came here together two days ago and would check out in three days... unfortunately, this incident happened ".
Jean explained everything. But the main question is still there...
" Manager, when this couple was here, did you find anything strange or weird about them? Like...one of them behaved strangely...kind of scared or suspicious and how are they both in manners? Did they ever show any trait that would give them away ", Adeline asked the man who's the manager of this hotel.
She wanted to make sure that things are not as she thinks they are. She needs different results...
The manager shook his head but then stopped....as if he recalled something.
" There is one event. Yesterday, when one of the staff tried to get inside the room for cleaning, the man didn't let her in. The staff said that he was looking kind of scared and spooky at the same time. At his call she stepped back...".
The manager said everything that he found important.
" Scared? Can you call the staff here who went to clean their room? ".
She asked the man if it's possible to get that maid here for investigation. Jean doesn't understand her. She is kind of different today, not the usual her....
" Of course, I will call her to come here immediately ".
The manager was eager to solve everything, he did not want any trouble in his hotel.
