"Isabelle, drop the spray bottle!" The security shouted from the muddy ground, looking up at the girl who was standing on the wall of her university chapel.
"Are you kidding me? It's three in the morning and you don't even sleep." She huffed before sitting down on the small edge of the wall, hanging her legs as she swayed it back and forth.
"Come down before I inform this to the principal." He gave her a threat which was not even worth it.
"And he will pull me down? I see you eat five eggs and a gallon of protein shake every day yet you can't climb this wall?"
"Why are you being such a trouble, kid? Come down, before someone else notice your sins." He pleaded as his eyes wandered on the chapel wall which was painted with a bright pride flag.
"Hmm, I wonder why everyone here is behind sins and virtues. Who is going to judge us at the end of all this? Some student man who runs a big company or a rich old man who would put forth a marriage proposal. Both aren't worthy of it." She turned to the side of the chapel, spraying the red paint over it.
"No, Isabelle. Listen to me and come down. I will cover up for you one more time." He begged again, trying to take small steps towards her as his shoe dug into the swamp.
"Good boy, you are the one who hides my sin which means we go to hell together." She remarked before climbing down the wall over the other side and disappearing.
"May God, send an Angel to guide this child to the virtues of life. Amen." The security drew a cross as he looked at the chapel with fearful eyes.
Pride flag on the chapel world, that too on a Romanian chapel which embodies all the spirits of Jesus Christ and the blessings of saints. She did the worst mistake by drawing that as the church was against those kind of modern changes which put a leash on their believes. The people who supports lgbt were considered possessed and sinned, to be thrown to the Sunday classes and confessions. They were considered as a threat to the society and were tagged as the supporters of Satan.
Isabelle John, the daughter of the higher priest in the same chapel was the one who took the massive step of spoiling the divine rule. The security could easily complain it to the authorities and get her to the punishment which they consider that she deserves but he just couldn't. He believed the Almighty would find a way on his own to help the child to the path of spirituality. He didn't know what was going on with her to be such a rebel when her whole family is into the virtues, labelled as the most blessed family.
Isabelle strolled down the empty alley, kicking on a Pepsi can as she proceeded to finally go home. Her father being the higher priest would be leaving to the church by five in the morning for the morning prayers so he falls asleep quiet early. Isabelle's mother was caught doing drugs years ago when she was in elementary school and her father along with the members from church council had to banish her. Not even once, they thought about the kid who needed someone to take care of her, to listen to her in needs.
"Effing had to ruin my plans." She cursed under her breath, spraying the paint all over the wall as she walked by to her house.
As usual, she had to jump over the small side gate, climb the pipe which directed to the sun shade and hanging by the railings to enter the balcony. She rolled over to the right side, avoiding the window to her father's prayer room in case, if he is awake because he got call from the Almighty at four in the morning. She used the spare key to open the door to her cozy, monochrome themed bedroom after all the military stunts. She turned on the small mood lamp which was placed at the side table, next to her bed where a poodle was sleeping peacefully. Isabelle threw her coat to the side and kicked the converses somewhere in the room before, plopping on the mattress.
"I am back, fluff ball." She scooped the puppy with one hand before nuzzling herself into it's soft fur earning some comfortable purrs.
The light turned on in the next room, after few minutes as her father was now all ready for the morning prayer. He insisted Isabelle to join him but her mother used to be a savior and helped her out of it saying, she stays up late night for completing college works. Isabelle was thankful that her mother helped her out of the struggle of kneeling down in front of the cross with no meaning for an hour even before the sun rises. She had nothing against the church and the believes until she found her father was obsessed about it.
"You are just supporting her way too much. I am worried if she would turn to be one of those rebels." John complained as he picked up the bible.
"She is a kid, give her some time to get used to all this." Janet smiled as she joined her husband for the prayer.
"She is my daughter and one day, she is supposed to bring pride to my name. If my daughter stays away from church and classes, it would degrade our family."
"She would never ever join those people. They live down the street and I am sure, no one from our community even goes there." Janet assured him once again before kneeling down, covering her hair with a veil.
