"Why do you sound so breathless?" Elias questioned. "Did I interrupt an intimate moment between you and the redhead?"
"No," Oliver responded with a slight frown. "She ran off a while ago, but that's not important right now." He quickly changed the topic before Elias could ask what had happened. "Some of our mother's little friends stopped by."
"They took Amaira's body," he added after a short pause.
Hearing the words of the person Elias was talking to, William's eyes widened and he rushed toward him, "Amaira's body?!"
Elias frowned irritatedly before hitting the young man on the back of the neck, knocking him out cold. William collapsed to the ground, face-first with a small thud.
"Who was that?" Oliver questioned.
"A long story," Elias muttered nonchalantly.
"Give me the shortened version."
"There is no shortened version." Elias sat down in the grass, crossing his feet. "Did the ants take Amaira again?"
