Xander traveled at an incredible speed through the crowd of confused creatures, prancing about in panic. "Get out of my way," he angrily grunted.
'I warned her about the elves,' Xander thought with an irritated expression. 'Now look at what happened.' He looked about as he ran, searching for the newborn that was his responsibility, but he could hardly see anything through his swollen, half-open eyes.
'I won't find him in all this mess,' Xander thought. He changed his course and started for the restricted area where the great shaman, Alia was being kept.
The sound of his shoes tapping against the tiles echoed throughout the empty hallway as he ran. There were no guards, the biometric locks were missing, the motion detectors didn't go off when he burst through the doors and there were no cameras.
