Helen held her wrist at his mouth, but there was no reaction from him, he wasn't drinking from her. She forcefully opened his mouth and put her wrist on his lips to ensure her blood enters his system, but he wasn't healing at all.
She didn't give up and thought that maybe she should be patient since his wounds were severe, but there was this fear that crept up her heart...a voice in her head telling her not to waste her time because he was already dead, but she refused to listen.
Helen clenched her eyes shut as she tilted her head backward; tears were tickling her eyes though she promised herself she wouldn't cry since he was going to be okay.
After a while, however, her thoughts went from, 'He's gonna be okay,' to, 'Please be okay.'
Her heart constricted painfully in her chest as warm tears dripped on Elias' face. She listened keenly for a heartbeat, but there was none...not even a faint one.
