The tension in the air increased tenfold as silence surrounded their stare-off. In any altercation between her and Jenna's friends, Michael always stood against her despite him being her best friend and later, boyfriend. He'd try convincing her she was in the wrong even when he saw for himself that she really wasn't.
He never followed them and bullied her, he was usually nice to her, but when it came to the times when he'd have to choose between her and Natalia or Jenna, she knew she couldn't count on him to have her back.
Since he was the closest thing she had to a friend and her first and only boyfriend, she never demanded anything of him or asked him to stop fraternizing with her enemies out of fear of him letting her go.
It was all going well in her opinion until he started demanding intimacy from her which she had no time for. She started seeing him less and less until they finally broke apart when she found out he was cheating on her.
