A deep hum resounded through the air in the form of a beautiful melody dancing gracefully with the wind, twirling among the trees and the many gently moving leaves.
The men on the ground heard the dark woods come alive and shined their lights about in a frantic fright. "At ease men," Officer James appeased. He calmly shone his flashlight about, "It's just the wind."
"I heard a monster lives in this place," one officer started in a whisper to another. He shone his flashlight on a skeleton seated at the foot of an oak tree, "No one who comes in here, return to see the light of day."
The officer he was talking to gripped his gun tighter out of fear but put up a brave front as he dismissed the conversation, "I'm not interested in your rumors, Officer Harrington." With those words, he stormed away from the fellow officer and stood amongst the other men.
Officer Harrington chuckled as he mumbled under his breath, "What a pussy."
