"What'd you do to her?" a voice questioned from behind Elias. "And why is she naked?"
"She saw me up close and fainted," Elias responded while caressing the face of the unconscious woman with his bony thumb. "Regarding her nakedness, I played no part."
He scooped her up fully in his arms and lay her on the couch of the living room before covering her with a blanket. Elias turned to face the man at the door, "Do tell me brother that you have something for me to eat."
Oliver stepped aside from the doorway and pairs of men rushed inside with crippled bodies in their arms. Elias' eyes lit up with excitement, but an expression of disappointment later took his features when he saw that there were only a few.
"Only eight?"
"There was nine," Oliver started. "But one escaped along with your humanity." He went on one knee and bowed with his hand over his heart, "I apologize for my failure."
"I'm no longer a king, Oliver, I'm here as your brother so please don't bow to me ever again." With those words, he pulled Oliver into a hug. "I missed you brother and thank you for keeping your promise to me."
Oliver's eyes widened, "You heard me...that day?"
Elias grinned, "Of course, I couldn't do much being inside Kenneth, but I could at least hear the voices of the people that care for me."
Oliver made a promise to Elias that he would revive him a century and a half after him being sealed and he did so without fail.
"O-Oliver," a trembling voice started. "D-Don't do this, it's not t-too late to send him back to his grave."
"How dare this miscreant interrupt our brotherly moment." Elias' eyes glowed blood red as he stared daggers at the crippled man who dared to speak. He licked his lips as he stalked over to him, "I'll have you first."
Oliver turned away from the brutal and bloody scene before him, though he knew of their fate, he didn't wish to see the people he spent fifty long years with being devoured alive.
"Don't make too much of a mess brother and do remember that we have neighbors."
Elias pouted, "But the screams add to the thrill." Seeing the no-nonsense expression on his brother's face, he sighed in defeat and ripped out the man's throat, silencing him immediately.
"Where are you going?" he went on to question.
Oliver stopped at the doorway but didn't turn around, "I'm off to thank the kind gentlemen that helped me carry your meal."
There were twelve of them lined off against a blue and white delivery truck, they were compelled from the beginning by Oliver to do what he says without question, but he no longer needed them.
"You will return to your respective homes and forget all you saw today." The men piled into the truck one after the other before driving away down the empty street.
Oliver stood staring into the distance for a while entertaining random thoughts until they were interrupted by the sound of familiar voices. 'Amaira's parents,' he thought before rushing back inside.
They were quite the distance away, but he could hear them loud and clear, especially since they were yelling at each other.
"That good-for-nothing daughter of yours, why must she continue to put shame on our family?!" Mr. Hendrix angrily yelled.
"She's your daughter too!" Mrs. Hendrix yelled back.
When Oliver returned to the house, there was blood everywhere, despite him telling Elias not to make a mess. Upon hearing the sound of footsteps, his head shot up in the direction of the staircase and that's where he saw him.
His body was no longer red and skinny, but instead beautifully decorated with muscles and now white. His jawline was sharp and his nose straight, but the evil in his red eyes remained just the same. His head was now decorated with a full head of shiny, jet-black hair that stopped just at the nape of his neck.
His lips were red, but it turned out it was blood, that he sexily stuck his tongue out to lick away. This man was Elias, no adjective to describe him could ever do him justice because he was more than devilishly handsome, more than gorgeous, and even more than an Adonis. But despite all his charm and good looks, he was undeniably evil.
His body was now clad in pants that hung low on his waist, while his tattooed upper half was exposed. "You look well, brother," Oliver commented.
Elias moved in a flash, his body now hovering over unconscious Amaira as he trapped her between his arms. "I really want her to wake up." He looked excitedly at Oliver, "Do you think she'll faint again when she sees me?"
"I don't know, brother," Oliver started. "But you'll have to find out another time, for now, we must return her home since her parents are near."
Elias pouted, "They're back so soon, should I kill them?"
"I advise against that, she'll hate you for it."
He sighed in defeat, "Fine, I'll take her back."
Elias held Amaira in his arms and was about to leave when he turned and said to Oliver, "I appreciate everything you did for me; even sacrificing the woman you loved so I could return."
Oliver's eyes widened a bit on the mentioning of that woman before the stoic expression returned to his face.
"I didn't devour her," Elias told him. "Anabel is resting upstairs, you can-" Before he could finish his sentence, Oliver had already made his way up the stairs to the room where she was resting.
Elias laughed, "Could've at least made me finish talking." Amaira shifted a bit to cuddle closer to him in his arms and he smiled down at her. "Well Miss Amaira Hendrix, time to get you home."
His eyes glowed purple before both their bodies hazed, and in the next second, they were in Amaira's room. His eyes glowed green next and the room returned to how it was before it was burned down.
He placed her on the bed and kissed her forehead, "I'll come back for you in a little while." With that, he disappeared, just as Amaira's parents and twin sister burst through the front door.
