'Sex or die,' Amaira thought with a frown. 'What kind of messed up options are those?'
"About your conditions," she heard Elias start, and her head whipped in his direction. He continued, "I'll stay out of your head, but my life will be directly linked to yours so I can't stay out of your personal life similarly to how you won't be able to stay out of mine."
Amaira pursed her lips; this was not what she wanted.
She was hoping she'd be able to escape Roma City and start over at a different place and even change her name. Amaira intended to meet Elias at least once or twice a week for sex, then return to her semi-normal life, but that plan was out the window.
At least she could think freely without anyone eavesdropping on her thoughts, but can she trust Elias to keep his word? How would she know if he's eavesdropping or not? It's not like she has an alarm or something that would go off each time Elias invades her mind.
