Jude huffed before reaching into her pocket and slamming a dollar bill onto Lily's outstretched hand. Her older sister gave her a quizzical expression, "How can you be so much like our father?" She shook her head as she tsked, "Stingy people can't treat women well."
Jude gritted her teeth before slamming another dollar bill on her sister's palm. Lily hummed as she looked at the two dollar bills in her hand disappointedly. "I have a feeling you don't care if mom finds out."
Jude gave her more and more dollar bills, but her older, money-grubbing sister always had something else to say after. "Only forty dollars?" Lily started. "That's barely enough for me not to say anything to mom, but what if she asks questions? You're gonna need me to cover for you."
Jude tightly clenched her fists as her sister continued talking. Lily tapped her chin, "The dishes aren't done and it's your day today so she might come calling you later."
