"I have asked Laila to prepare a warm bath. I will help you wash up." Alessio's words were immediately met with a disagreeable reception from Neveah.
Neveah tried to speak, only able to make sounds and so she gave up on that and instead, gathered all the strength of will she could.
She shoved Alessio's chest just as she arrived at the doors to her washroom, using all the strength she could muster despite her weakened muscle.
Though it was barely much of a shove, Alessio had not expected it and his distraction made him stumble back slightly and lose hold of Neveah, sending Neveah straight to the ground.
Neveah fell to the hard wooden ground, wincing at the pain of impact. She was certain a bruise would form quickly.
"Omega! You'll hurt yourself!" Alessio exclaimed, reaching for Neveah once again.
Neveah recoiled as much as her weakened muscles would allow.
