Neveah gasped as her eyes came open, she shot up on her bed, panting heavily.
Her mind was a blank page, Neveah could hardly remember the events leading up to this moment but her hand moved up to rub her chest where a dull ache still pulsed.
"Veah!" Everon's familiar voice exclaimed from beside Neveah.
Neveah raised a brow in surprise, turning slightly, her gaze settled in an anxious looking Everon who sat by her bedside.
"Everon?... What are you...?" Neveah trailed off when she noticed where exactly she was.
This was Menarx's quarters, back in Dragon Keep and Neveah was not certain what she was doing here, the last she recalled, she was still out in the plains.
"How did I get here? I thought..." Neveah began to say but was interrupted when a sudden intense feeling of concern consumed her mind.
