"What about you? Why are you here?" Charlotte asked.
"This is my father's boat," Collin confessed, rubbing the back of his neck. "Technically speaking, I'm the host. I have to be here."
"But you don't want to be."
"I didn't."
"You do now?"
He nodded. "Yes. I've been having more fun than I thought I would. You saved me, really. I normally hate things like this. Having someone pleasant to talk to makes all the difference."
Charlotte blushed and fiddled with a strand of her hair. "You exaggerate."
"I'm serious. Terrible as it sounds, I'm glad you gave in to the pressure and came here so I could meet you."
Her blush grew deeper and she looked away. "I'm glad I was able to meet you too. I wasn't looking forward to this at all either but it has been fun, hasn't it?"
