The expected interrogation didn't happen until Jacob's next day off, which happened to be when Addison was working so she couldn't come even if he had invited her. In the past week, it had been so strange coming home and seeing her every day and talking to her like nothing had changed even though they had both grown up and gone their separate ways.
He didn't know how long she planned to stay with him but wasn't about to be pushy about kicking her out. He knew she was still having nightmares and hadn't even been able to make it to therapy yet. It wouldn't be nice.
He cared about her and wanted her to be okay so he had to find a way to be okay with this weirdness too. Even if she had completely thrown his life into disarray by coming back into it so unexpectedly.
