"Do you maybe want to be my girlfriend?" Scott asked a bit hesitantly.

Cherry was screaming on the inside. Did she want to? Absolutely. Should she? Absolutely not.

She had gotten carried away, as she often did where he was concerned, but she wasn't supposed to see him more than a few more times before fading into obscurity. That had basically gone out the window when she slept with him but it was so much worse that he genuinely wanted to be with her.

The person he liked didn't exist. Not really.

Delia was closer to Cherry than any of her other identities but she still had different hair and actually looked like an adult despite being short and relatively devoid of curves because of the way she dressed. And that wasn't even the worst of her secrets.

Cherry couldn't say yes but how was she supposed to say no? It had already been established that she missed Scott when she didn't see him on a regular basis.
