Adam was determined to make Callie's Mother's Day as good as her birthday. She deserved that. She probably never got a real break even if she did get little gifts from Carter's preschool in the past.
He made it another takeout day and had Carter bring her breakfast in bed since he was always up earlier than she was anyway. She obviously knew it had been his idea and the way she smiled at him made his stupid heart skip a beat.
That had never happened before. She was the most beautiful woman he had ever met but she had always been off-limits.
Adam knew that so why did his heart have to go react on him now? The last thing she needed was for the boss she was living with to be attracted to her.
