"I want everyone here to register for 5 am training sessions for the next month! And don't even think about running! We scanned all of your badges so we know who was here! All of you get out of here and get in your beds STAT!" Grant yelled.
"Yes General Grant sir!" The cadets yelled.
"Everyone that is except you 6!" Grant yelled pointing at Axel and friends.
"Hehe…" Axel said scratching his head.
"It wasn't his fault Yo!" Reggie pleaded to Grant. "Jeff stole his sisters doll!"
"I'm well aware of the situation," Grant scoffed. "But remind me where it says in the handbook, that instead of calling a teacher Cadets are free to "Duke it out" In our safeguarded research facility!" Grant screamed
"I'm going to have you scrubbing toilets, mopping floors, and running laps until you drop! You'll never see the outside air again!" Grant yelled waving his finger.
"Tsk, last time I hang with you losers… I should have went home.." Lance scoffed.
"General… if I may" O'brian said walking to the center of the group.
"Heh? What do you want?" Grant scoffed.
"Well it just so happens that I know a perfect punishment for these children.." O'brian said rubbing his hands.
"Don't let him!" Seymour cautioned. "He's going to run some kind of sick research experiment on them!"
"Well, I won't lie, it will assist me with my research…" O'brien said.
"What do you have in mind!" Grant said. "Maybe you can inject these kids with some kind of common sense! You got an experiment for that?!" Grant said.
"Well, I was thinking… Since they seem to like fighting so much, why don't we take them somewhere fights always break out?" O'brian said.
"Hmmm, you mean the Atlantica Mercury Ball League? There's always a fight breaking-"
"No… I was thinking about somewhere more… jagged.." O'brien said.
"You don't mean...."
"Lets take them to the Lagara Mineshaft!"
"What!" Grant exclaimed. "You want to take a bunch of CADETS, tot he Badlands!" He exclaimed,
"They will be supervised ofcoarse, are you telling me that wouldn't knock some sense into them?" O'brien asked.
"I don't know…" Grant said. "If something goes wrong that's alot of paper-"
"PSSST!" Seymour whispered to Grant.
"Why are you whispering everyone can hear you Simone"
"Its… Seymour… and may I have a word with you for a second?"
"What is it?" Grant asked scurrying over to him.
"Think about it,,," Seymour whisperedinto Grants ear. "Other than these kids whose the most troublesome person at this Academy.."
"O'BRIAN!" Grant gasped.
"Having him gone and those kids gone at the same time will literally be Nirvana! And if something goes wrong we can blame it on him! He's a special Colonel after all from HQ! If he screws up they may even send him back!"
"EHEM!" Grant said clearing his throat.
"After some careful consideration.. Seymour and I have agreed to let you take the Cadets" Grant said. "Keep in mind they must be returned in time for their exams…"
"Wait what about our coursework?" Reggie asked.
"HEhahahha!" Grant and Seymour laughed.
"What?"
"Oh you were serious… this is a Colonel talking to you, we can just write a waver for that! We already did for one of O'Brian's Cadets out there… what was her name again…"
"Lily Ringo" Seymour answered.
"Ah yes Lily! Smart cookie she is! This is sounding better by the second! She has more common sense then the five of you combined!" Grant laughed.
"But if I'm going to be away from home.. Who will take care of Mirya?" Lars asked.
"Don't worry we have an on the call Major who can Will take care of that! Right Simone!" Grant yelled patting his back.
"YEs…. sir.." Seymour said holding back his rage.
"Alrighty then! You all are dismissed! Report to Obrians office at 0700, until then… Try not to send anymore kids to the hospital!" Grant said waving.
"Oh man this next month is really going to suck… We have to go to the badlands? Why the hell it had to be us?"
"Hmmm are the Badlands really that bad?"
"That bad? Axel your joking right?" Lance said.
"The Badlands are such a terrible place even agents aren't safe out there, one of our Agents came back to HQ with his face melted off? How does that even happen YO?" Reggie
"Yeh Baby blue, the badlands is no joke, D4 is dangerous but the Badlands is a warzone." B said.
"What are they bringing us there for?" Lars asked. "What is the lagara mineshaft?"
"Judging from the name sounds like a dark deep pit with no light and thousands of rocks that well have to crush and dig to find valuables,an amazing punishment for Cadets like us" Lance groaned kicking a rock
"Am I the only one whose excited?" 6 said "I've never been to a mineshaft!"
"Hehehhahah!" Reggie laughed. "I bet you 20 ether your attitude completely changes when we get there.
"Its a Bet!" 6 yelled. "I've also never made a bet before either! This is so exciting!" 6 cheered.
"Yeh… " Lars said looking up at Grant and Seymour. "I can't wait..."
(Somewhere deep in the Badlands)
"HUUUUQQQ PTU"
A man on a hovercycle spat our a wad of green acid, covering a sign that read "Welcome to Lagara"
As his trench coat flickered in the wind, he held down the tip of his top hat with one hand covering his face.
Behind him were two Huge men that followed closely behind, each on their own hovercycles on either side of him.
Wiping what was left of the fizzing green fluid that hissed and bubbled from his mouth like venom, the man in the hat cleared his throat and spoke the two in a deep, low southern voice.
"It's a damn shame," he said shaking his head, "I reckon these folk forgot all about us".
"Awe no way, boss. It's only been a few months since we've been here" one of the giants said.
"Well, they must have poor memory if they're gonna hold out against Sharif. I mean no one's head is that loose, I reckon" The man chuckled to himself.
"You right, boss! Aint no way they're that stupid! They prolly-they just forgot to prepare it!" The other giant replied, stumbling over his words.
"Exactly! Now why don't we go in there and make sure they… remember?" The vile man said in a violent tone.
"Well uhhh, how we gonna do that boss?" the other giant said scratching his shiny bald head.
" If you want someone to remember ya, you've got to make yourself hard to forget!" The vile man said wagging his finger. "Now Harry, you never forget the hair on your beard now do you?" he said, smugly shrugging his shoulders.
"Beard?" Harry asked, confused. Reaching down and touching his face he felt hair below his chin.
"Naw boss I'd never forget that! " Harry answered scratching his head
"And why is that?" The vile man replied.
"Uhhh Because It's always there!" Harry said marveling at his beard.
"Exactly! Now we just gotta leave these folk with a little something to remember us by! Yaknow, something that will.... always be with them!" the vile man said grinning evilly.
"OHH you mean like a present?" The giants chimed simultaneously
"Yeh Hahaha that's right!" the vile man laughed. "Like a present! Now do me a favor and hush up about it. Don't wanna let anyone in on the surprise now do we?"
"You got it!" Boss the duo replied again in synchronization.
"Heh, well good" The man said again fully pressing on the throttle of his hovercycle. Accelerating ahead of the two, he began to see the outskirts of a town.
"Once we're finished with this place this town will never forget the name Gille Eastwood again"
