Just by looking at him from this distance I can tell that something is wrong, that all this situation has taken the strength out of him not only mentally but physically as well, with his cheerful eyes now downcast, his lips pale and cracked, matching with the skin color of his face, normally weat colored and sunburn but even that seemed ashen today.
And after everything we passed through, from the attack of the whale, the creatures, the fog, the cultivators, all without rest, and with him still having to take care of me and cut his tail out to heal me… one can only image just how overwhelmed he must have been feeling up to this point where we are finally able to rest.
"You know…" I start saying, standing up from my chair to the side and walking towards him who had his eyes set outside the window towards the clouds below.
