Audrey chuckled. "Not only do you sound and act like a true Alpha now, but you are practically ready to take that empty seat next to Kay's throne. I can't wait for all this to be over so I can witness your wedding."
Joanna's face turned red at the comment. "Hmph… As much as I want to announce to the world that he's mine, there's no rush for the wedding ceremony…"
"You are only saying that because your name's already on that special paper. Be honest, would you still be this calm if he wasn't legally yours?" Audrey teased, poking Joanna playfully.
Joanna smirked. "Why wouldn't I? I know how long he waited for me. Why would I fear anyone stealing him away?"
"You are so narcissistic, it's almost unbearable," Audrey quipped, laughing as she noticed the sweet smile lingering on Joanna's lips.
Before Joanna could respond, a voice interrupted them.
"Anna, are you married?"
Both women turned abruptly, startled to see Jocelyn standing behind them.
