In the middle of the night, Xina city was quiet, leaving only a few carriages and guards on the street. On the third floor of Bloom hotel. A group of people were having a serious discussion.
"Your highness. We've completed the survey and we can say, only two groups could hinder us." Raymond announced with a slight bead of sweats on his forehead.
"The Rain Flower Pavilion and the Razor Family." Meyla added.
Al Casendra listened to their report without blinking. After everyone had given their report, he stood and went to the board.
"Meyla would be the head of the Xina cities. I believe you know what to do?" He looked at Meyla.
Meyla nodded.
"One eagle rider, a wolf guard and one ordinary guard would be at your disposal. You can only send the ordinary guard errand. While the two soldiers would only response when you're under threat."
"What are the objectives of us coming to Xina? One, to recruit talented mages. Two, established our existence for people to know. Lastly, any books or news on magic, rune and array formation should be taken with utmost priority."
Al Casendra paused and looked at the four people in front of him.
"This is not only for Meyla but for everyone else. Remember you represent Long-Fall Pass and you represent me. If you fail…" His hand halted on the last word and he chose not to continue.
"We'll spend two days in Xina city if everything goes according to plan before we move to the next city. You must be prepared for threat and danger. But relax… and just send a report back to Long-Fall pass and everything would take care of it."
"People have forgotten about us. Now, it's time for them to hear our name."
"Since only three families had elite mages with the city's land mansion, making four. We have nothing to fear. You can begin the process immediately."
"You can leave. Kako wait."
After everyone has left. Kako stood straight and looked at the ceiling.
"What do you think about the strength of Xina city?"
"Hmm.. Strong for a weak city. But if their elite mages didn't interfere with our matter. A wolf soldier is enough to subdue everyone else." Kako said confidently.
"Follow me out tomorrow and tell one eagle soldier to monitor the girl in the next room."
"Aye!"
The following morning, Meyla, Raymond and Donald sprint to work early. Yesterday, they already had a location for the Long-Fall Trade Fair.
Quickly, they acquire the 5-story building and recruit people to set up the building. Meanwhile, Al Casendra and Kako came out of the Bloom Hotel.
Kako led the way. Since he and his men had surveyed almost every hoot and cranny of the city. Kako put on an ordinary black robe with the rapid-fire bow at his back covered by the robe.
Al Casendra in his blue robe walked with a casual step amid the bustling street. Being the first time, he visited a bustling city. It was expected to chest everything with a fascinating gaze. Yet, there was no expression on his face.
How could this ancient city compare to his old world in terms of advancement and lifestyle. They are still a couple of thousand years behind.
"This is the Golden Goose Pavilion. We can virtually find everything here. Also, I heard they have an inscription master." Kako whispered.
Al Casendra raised his brow and didn't say a word. Yet, a glint appeared deep within his blue. He can't wait to meet the inscription master.
One of the reasons for him coming with the merchant was to learn more about inscription. He wanted to turn Long-Fall Pass to his previous world standard and if possible, more.
His previous world didn't have magic. But here there was magic, having birth to unimaginable things.
Entering the Golden Goose Pavilion. A spacious room accosted with many people standing or seated. At the right corner of the room was a counter. Kako led Al Casendra to the counter.
"Hello, Welcome to Golden Goose Pavilion. How may I help you?" The sweet voice of a female came over from the counter.
"I heard there are books on rune inscription and formation in Golden Goose. Is that true?" Kako asked.
"Yes." The lady smiled. "Please, tell me what you want and I'll get it for you." She brought out a brochure and presented it to Kako.
He took the book and presented it to Al Casendra. He knew nothing about rune. He was lost. Al Casendra took the book and gave it a cursory look.
'Everything is just basic.'
That was to be expected. Rune and formation master are one the noble occupations in this world and not just anyone could learn it. Seeing some basic rune and array formation was a miracle.
'I know nothing about array formation. I will take the array formation.' He thought and pointed to all the array formation in the brochure.
Kako saw this and took the book back from Al Casendra and smiled at the lady.
"Get us all the books on array formation."
The lady smiled and left the counter. After a couple of minutes, the lady returned with a pile of books.
"These cost 5 gold coins."
Kako nodded and paid right away. He kept the book and asked.
"I heard your Golden Goose has a rune inscription master. Is that right?"
"Yes." The lady smiled, puffing out her big cherry bosoms. Her tight robe accentuated her great figure.
"Can we have an audience with the master?"
Hearing this, the lady was quiet for a moment, looking straight at Kako. Kako didn't dilly dally. He fetched out 2 gold coins and gave them to the lady.
Receiving the gold coins. She chuckled. "The master is having a class with his disciple. But it wouldn't be difficult to spare a minute or two for you."
"Follow me?"
She twisted her waist, shaking her ass toward Kako while behaving normally. She frequently took a glance at Kako with an enchanting smile on her red lips.
At the back of the Golden Goose Pavilion. The three arrived at a courtyard with an old man with white hair and six young people.
"Esteem master Normen, these people want to have an audience with you." The lady said.
Seeing the intruder disturbing their lecture. The young people raised their brow and frown. While Master Normen also had a slight frown on his face.
"Who are you?" Master Normen asked coldly.
"I'm Kako and this is my young master. We heard of your esteemed name and came to learn one or two things from you."
"Why the hell would I do that? Do you think just anyone could learn rune from me, just because they wanted." Master Normen asked. His long bear swayed gently and he snickered.
"We know that and we're already come prepared." Kako didn't mind the disdainful look on the Master Normen face and smile.
Kako smiled and took out a pouch of coins and moved closer to Master Normen and gave him.
"You don't need to worry. My young master would only learn for today."
Master Normen snorted and collected the pouch. However, when weighing the coins. His eyes brightened.
He quickly hid the pouch in his robe. 'This money came at the right time. I'm in need of money to continue my research.' He was extremely happy but didn't let it show on his face.
"What do you understand by rune?" Master Normen turned to Al Casendra and asked.
"My young master didn't like to talk. Mostly, he communicated through writing." Kako answered.
"Perhaps, he was dumb and pretended not to like talking." A young man with a haughty expression said.
"Hadden. You can't say that." Another young man said with a stiff smile.
"Why can't I say that? In Xina city. Who can go against my Razor family." Hadden puffed his chest out and said proudly.
"And besides, how can a rank 8 novice mage affect my family." He added.
"Wait. What is the magic stage of the… not so talking guy." A young girl asked with disdain.
Master Normen frowned when he heard the question. Immediately, he fixed his gaze on Al Casendra but couldn't detect any magic from his body.
"Are you serious? I can a manaless kid learn rune inscriptions." Master Normen shouted.
"I know this guy is a waste." Hadden said and laughed.
"You don't have to worry about that. Whether he knows or not—"
"Shut up!" Master Norman berated. "How can I waste my precious time on trash."
