"Heal him." Aiden used oppresive force to make her obey. Vanessa was choking and her internal organs were in turmoil. To stop the oppression, she had no choice but to exert her magic and heal the dying teenager.
The first place she cast healing magic was on his back. The protruding bone is slowly covered in red flesh, until the white, flawless skin smoothed out the blemishes.
She then moved on to his arms, legs, neck, and torso. It took minutes of painstaking healing until his condition improved. When Lucien got better, Aiden felt the heavy weight in his chest finally lifted. He put Lucien in his arms and comforted him with his heat.
Vanessa had already done what he asked. She thought the oppressive atmosphere would be lifted. She waited patiently and tried to hide in the corner, but found herself unable to move her limbs. When Aiden detect her intentions, he thicken the black mist surrounding her, causing the air around Vanessa to oppress her, not giving her a chance to breath. Trying to suffocate her to death.
"What are you doing? I already did what you asked!" Vanessa screeched as she clawed her arms to reach Aiden.
"Let me go!" Aiden ignored her. He continued to hug Lucien in his arms.
The long dragging seconds tortured Vanessa to death. Her internal organs contracted, causing her eyes, mouth, ears, and nose to bleed blood. Her brain also sustained heavy damage. She can feel so much pressure pressing on her. It squeezes cruelly on her skull, pounding and drilling thick nails.
"Please…." Vanessa couldn't stand the torture and collapsed on the ground. Her whole body bleeding out. Her power was useless at this point. No two horned demon nor sacrifice can save her. And she died miserably on the spot. Against this devil spawn child, how can a mere witch like her go against him?
After Vanessa died, the dead air disappeared. The town entered an empty void of silence. There were only Aiden and Lucien at the church. The five children Aiden hid under the cave were too afraid to come out. It seems the cave served as a hideout for someone. There was food, water, and a bed. The children could not sleep. All five of them hid under the covers of the bed and ate the slices of bread and water they found. Ears straining, listening to any sound. They silently take Aiden's words to heart. Unless it was him, they wouldn't open the entrance.
A few miles from the town, the two horned demon had his nostrils flaring in anger at the ten demon slayers obstructing his path. The hour of sacrifice has passed. He was sure his faithful servant had prepared the sacrificial children for him back in town. Yet, right at the moment. He was trapped in a battle against these ten human pests. They held spears and wore armors. Their power to wield light with their pesky spells and annoying chantings irritate the two horned demon.
Right now, he was caught in a big hurdle. An array was formed at his feet, preventing him from leaving. It also restricted his demonic powers. Because of the cleansing the demon slayers were doing, he couldn't muster strength in his body. Any ball of black mist is instantly evaporated by the white light.
"Arrghh!" The two horned demon went into berserk mode and pounded his fist on the invisible wall.
If he can't use his power, he will have to break through using sheer force!
The demon slayers all think this method is ineffective. But after tenacious hours of the two horned demon's nonstop berserking, they found the array had sustained some cracks.
"Shit! The light magic is not enough! Pour more!"
Five demon slayer mages chanted a few more spells, trying to strengthen the array. However, the cracks widened instead of being repaired.
"Did someone call the warriors? We can't hold on to the array any longer!"
"Sir, the Grand Sword Master was already informed! He's on his way!"
"Then we have to hold on a little longer!"
As the Demon Slayer Mages did their best to keep the array from breaking, the two horned demon did not lose an ounce of his strength nor show any signs of tiredness after pounding the invisible barrier. They managed to hold on for a few hours before the array broke. The two horned demon roared in victory. He raised his hand in the air, ready to eradicate the ten pests in front of him at any moment.
However, before he could form the ball of deadly red thunder, he caught a glimpse of something glinting at his left. Before the two horned demon could react, his eyes suddenly tilted.

That was the last expression on his face before his head fell to the ground. His body followed after.

This light magic is quite deadly for demons. They can suppress the demon's power with their magic, but they cannot kill it. They needed the Warriors' help to ultimately end the demon's life.
