The next day.
The construction company delivered the materials needed for the house repair.
Norman addressed his twenty carpenter friends in front of the house. "We will work together to finish removing the old roofs as fast as we can and then install the new ones. After we finish with the roofs, we will begin removing the old ceiling and then replaced them as well. We need to finish these jobs within two weeks. Then after we are done in the house, we will start constructing the bunkhouse for the workers working on the farm. Alright everyone, let's go to work!" he said.
Norman divided the group into three and assigned them to their job, the workers picked up their tools and began the work assigned to them.
The first group was led by Norman, they went up to the roof to start removing the old roofs. The second group began cutting materials in the ground and the third group are errand boys, they are responsible for assisting the first group and second group to speed up the process.
Irene watched the men in action, their actions were well-coordinated, working as one.
Two hours later.
The group of farmers led by Jim also arrived, eager to start their work with their new employer.
Irene looked at the new arrivals.
Jim introduced the workers by their names to Irene.
"Friends, Ma'am Irene here is our new employer. Let's work together to satisfy her expectation. She is new to the farming business. It's our duty and responsibility to take care of the crops to the best of our ability so that we can give Ma'am Irene good profits, in return, she can give us a good salary every month," he said, finishing his speech with a big smile on her face.
"Hello, Ma'am Irene! Thank you for hiring us!" the workers greeted their new employer cheerfully.
Irene smiled brightly at them and replied, "Nice meeting you all!"
Jim looked at his new boss. "Ma'am, we will start clearing one hectare first, by removing bushes, weeds, pests, and so on. Then afterward, we will start digging the plot and plant the seeds. After planting the seeds, we will then start clearing the next area. We will repeat the same process until we finished clearing the entire five-hectare land. Some of us will take care of the young plants while others continue clearing the lands and planting seedlings. By the time we are done clearing the entire area, the first group of plants are ready for harvesting and sold to the market and the cycle continues. That's our plan, Ma'am," he explained.
Irene was amazed by Jim's plan and initiative. "Good! I like your brilliant idea!" she said delightfully.
"Thank you for trusting us, Ma'am! We'll get going now," Jim said.
"Okay, go ahead," Irene replied.
Jim and his group proceed to their designated area to start their work, while Norman and his buddy were busy removing the old roofs of the house.
Irene breathed deeply. The house that used to be silent is now filled with people's voices as well as the sound of hammers and objects being led to the ground.
Time went by.
Two hours before lunchtime, Aunt Zell arrived at the house with her assistant carrying a large cooking pot for the workers' meal preparation. Irene offered the workers free lunch and snacks until their work ends. She hired Aunt Zell and the other lady to cook the workers' food. They already went to the market yesterday to buy the vegetables and meat needed for the dishes.
Irene helped the women prepare the meals, enjoying the activity with them.
At 12:10, the meals were finally cooked and ready to serve.
The women placed the rice and dishes on the plates, lining them up on the table.
The workers start arriving for the lunch break. They went to the table, picked up the food, and find their spots to eat their meals. While eating they were having fun telling each other's funny jokes, and laughter erupted among the crowd.
After lunch ended, the workers rest for a few minutes, while the women retreated to the kitchen and washed the dishes and pots in the kitchen.
At 1:00 in the afternoon, the men resumed their work while the women went to rest. They will begin the snack preparation two hours later.
Irene retired to the basement to take a two hours nap. She will help the women prepare the snack later after she wakes up.
She lies in bed and closed her eyes to sleep.
Fifteen minutes later, Irene was already snoring softly.
Suddenly, Brent materialized in the middle of the room and watched his ladylove sleeping on the bed.
He stared at her pretty face for a few minutes, then vanished from the room.
He can be seen hovering above the house in his invisible form, scanning the whole area. He saw busy workers removing the old roofs of the house. He zoomed in and saw men clearing the area in the distance.
'Hmm, it looks like my sweetie is using the proceeds of the gold nuggets to good use. I'm impressed!' he said. He told her not to sell the ancestral house and it seemed she was listening to his advice. Based on what he can see with the activity going on right now, she's going to cultivate the land.
He lingered in the air for a few minutes watching the men busy with their work, then he went back to the basement to join his sweetie pie on the bed.
He went back to the basement, when he arrived there, Irene was still sleeping. He went to bed and lie beside Irene, embracing her from behind. He buried his face in her neck, inhaling her addicting scent.
A few minutes later.
Irene stirred in her sleep, her eyelids flew wide open when she felt a warm body pressed on her back, embracing her from behind. Her heart grew cold with fear, when she looked behind her and saw the person's face, she released a sigh of relief.
It's no other than the horny vampire!
She was slowly getting used to his presence, he will come and go whenever he pleases.
Brent's eyes flew open. He planted a kiss on Irene's lips. "Sweetie, did you sleep well? Did I disturb you?" he asked.
"I just woke up," she replied.
"Do you want to go back to sleep or not anymore?" Brent inquired while caressing her arms.
"I'm done napping," she responded. "Why? Are you here to ask for sex?'
Brent chuckled. "No. I'm here to check on you," he replied.
Irene felt relieved with his answer.
"I saw your men working on the roofs and clearing the area. What is your plan?" he asked. curiously.
"The house needed major repair. And I want to start a farm projects..." she answered.
"Great! I will support you all the way. Do you need my assistance? I'm willing to help you with all your projects. Let me know," he said, offering his resources.
Irene shook her head. "Nah, I can manage on my own," she said.
"Great. I shall take my leave now before you kick me out," he said and planted a kiss on her lips.
Irene smiled, feeling happy that he won't stay longer in the house.
"See you tonight, sweetie," he said and vanished from the room.
Irene left the bed, picked up the comb, and brush her hair, then styled her hair into a ponytail.
Satisfied with her appearance in front of the mirror, she left the room and went to the kitchen to help the women prepare the snack for the workers.
