Echo opened her eyes, with a sparkle in them. Her demeanour changed in such a short second, that when she exhaled she was full serious, and the spark in her eyes disappeared.
"Wait!" Demon mouthed to Echo, as he stood up. The room was awfully silent, and Damon's eyes turned dark. His face became expressionless, and a chill ran through the room.

Denzel pulled up outside Damon's mansion. He got out of his car, and took a while to gaze at the large mansion. "Damon, you are much stupider than I expected." He closed his eyes, taking in everything around him as he inhaled, and exhaled everything out. The smells, everything he remembered. The calm, relaxing ambience of the mansion. It was ironic to him how such a place filled with demons could be so relaxing, maybe that was the reason for Damon being so naive. He almost pitied him.
"Did the Protector leave something behind?" the butler asked, approaching Denzel. Her eyes were fixated on his, and she scowled at him.
Denzel ignored her, and walked past. "Maybe! Maybe not! I guess you'll never know." His words were sharp, and his eyes were similar to that of a killer. He sensed the butler's fear, but continued on. "Follow me, and you'll regret it!"
His confidence was on the next level. He knew his powers, and the butler would easily be destroyed if he wanted to. She was always suspecting him, so he needed to be extra cautious around her. If need be he was ready to end her life.
The butler turned her gaze towards him, as he vanished behind the doors of the mansion. "I can't let him ruin everything!"
Denzel took the stairs up. He walked through the corridor, arriving in front of Echo's room. Looking around, he opened the door, entering the room,

Rose stood up, when the demons took a step back after seeing an angry Damon. "He is under her spell. You know Damon would never work with the Protectors. She must have done something to him."
Damon felt a surge of anger take over when he heard Rose's words. He tried so much to keep it hidden inside, but this time it was too much. Why was Rose so adamant in showing that Echo was a monster? After everything he did for Rose, she was ruining everything. Why couldn't she just be like she was? She used to be quiet and stay out of all these things involving demons, but now that Echo was here, she wanted to get involved. How could she simply forget that he rescued her from the very creatures she was now siding with? Damon felt something take control over his body, it was like nothing he had felt before. It was as if his anger had a voice of its own, and he no longer was in control of his thoughts.
'What if she's the mole?' he heard a voice whisper in his head, 'She must be working for the Onix! Why else would she tell them that you are working with the Protectors?' Damon held his head.
The voices kept whispering, 'Or she wants to take your position. Even a human can become a demon! Would you let a mere human steal your position? The son of a higher ranking demon loses against a human. Imagine the rumours. How humiliating?'
One glance at Damon, and Echo knew something was not right. She stood up, and turned around to face the demons. She knew there were about thirty demons surrounding. "Rose! Be quiet!"
"Why should I be? You are a witch. Damon was perfectly normal before you came into his life. Right after you showed up everything just fell apart. He loses control over his power, and has terrible nightmares every night, that he sometimes stays up. Is this what you call being a Protector? You are worse than the demons who were protecting him. All I want is for you to disappear so that we can go back to our previous lives!" Rose blamed Echo. She glared at Echo, and picked a knife up.
The demons slowly advanced towards them. Echo had no choice but to stand her ground to protect both Damon and Rose. She glanced at Hunter who was standing beside her.
The tiger was lying on the ground all the while, but now that she was needed, she got closer to Echo.
"Revelioro!" Echo mumbled, and her outfit transformed. Her sword appeared in her hand. She smiled, 'My trustee sword, always coming back to me.'
"Echo! Wait!" Damon called out.
Echo took a quick glance at Damon, "I don't think that's a good idea right now."
Damon winced in pain, while holding his head. The whispers kept getting louder, 'Kill her! Don't let her live! She betrayed you! They all betrayed you! Burn her alive! Show them what happens when they betray you! Destroy them! You are the legitimate ruler of the demons. Why fall short of it? Show them that there is no mercy for the traitors!' He could no longer contain the power inside him. Slowly, step by step, inch by inch, he felt himself slipping, until the anger took control.
"You are all traitors!" Damon's voice resounded around the large hall. His eyes were dark, and so were the veins on his face.
The demons glanced at each other. Some were filled with fear, and the older demons began questioning their need to attack.
"What is happening?" one of them asked the other.
"I don't know. Just hold our ground! We'll be able to take him," another replied.
"Traitors?" another questioned.
Confusion began filling the room, but no one backed down.
Echo glanced at Damon, who stepped forward.
"Do you really want to go against me?" he asked. His voice was void of all emotion.
A few demons glanced at each other, but others were not wavering.
"How dare you betray us, and call us traitors!" one demon called out. He lifted his hand in the air, and a dark smoke surrounded all the demons.
Echo sighed, "Here we go again!"
