Seeing the heavy chains strapped to the limbs and neck of the space soldiers, most passerbies would instantly mistake them for slaves!
In the Darklands, slavery and slaughter was the norm. It wasn't a strange sight to see another bunch of travellers having their own cluster of slaves.
It would have been quite strange if the space soldiers were unchained as only a handful of people do not have slaves and servants following behind them.
With the increase in slaves, the Darklanders had even adopted a slave trade where one could exchange slave for slaves or goods and services. Some brave souls had even approached the deadly vampire in order to purchase or exchange a slave.
