All the soldiers had their faces turn pale as they looked upon the approaching balls of imminent destruction. The flames were sufficiently to tear apart an interstellar battleship!
"Sh*t! There's no cosmic energy here! Everyone activate your exo-shield!" The shortest of the soldiers roared as a ball of energy materialised around him. "Now!"
Suddenly the soldiers began to activate their exo shields, taking defensive stances within the balls of energy.
The fireballs crashed into the exo-shields, leaving a wide crack on the ball of energy from impact. The poor soldiers who were standing within couldn't even scream as they were blown a good distance back by the explosion of flames.
As soon as the soldiers landed roughly on the grass with their suits already burnt beyond salvation, a long crescent ball of blood energy came from above.
