Chapter 5 - Jenny committed suicide

★★★

"What kind of lecture is that? We felt like we were standing in front of a devil and one mistake could perish our souls right instant. Damn!" Danny and Bethany both huffed their breath, which they had been holding. They brought their little mirror, lipstick, and powder for touchups, as they thought it dulled because of the fear they had received from the new president's appearance.

Isabella didn't say a word as her mind was still twirling at that moment when their gaze collided, which might not have been intentional as she had believed. When their eyes met, she saw the fire. It was giving her the feeling of the victim, as if the trap was ready, waiting for her to step inside.

"Darling, Isabella. You're still intoxicated by the lecturer. Oh, sorry, sorry, our new president. Haha." It was the first time Bethany noticed Isabella was absent-minded. And her eyes had not yet left the door. And what is this thing called: an infatuation, when you saw someone sexy and spiced.

"Have you seen his physic? Gosh! such hotness. I have seen quite sexy men, but nobody is more alluring and desirable than him. Just think how he'd look in bed and naked." Danny looked up with craving eyes as if she was enjoying what she said, while her mouth couldn't stop commenting on Alexander's physic.

Bethany slapped Danny on the head. "We can't. Our best friend laid her eyes on him." Bethany's shoulder knocked Isabella's arm playfully as they both were laughing and teasing. Isabella's lips lifted in annoyance while she rolled her eyes at both of them.

She didn't bother to comment anything or they would start their shit all over again. If any other girl listened to them, they would blush, but Isabella had no such feelings, so she was as passive as ever.

"If you two are finished, let's go to the canteen because I am famished, also father made my favorite lunch which I won't share today," Isabella said and stood up. She was about to sling her bag over her shoulder when Danny grabbed her bag and didn't allow let her to do it.

"You can't. Everything our uncle sends you for lunch you should share with your friends, which we already agreed to this," as soon as Danny finished, Bethany stood while her eyes fell on Alexy.

"Look at Alexy. She can't be serious." Bethany quickly pulled out her phone and opened the camera to capture the moment, but Isabella didn't allow her. Shaking her head, she placed her hand on the camera.

"What? We can have fun rewinding this over and over. Her boobs are almost about to spill," Bethany scoffed at Isabella. Now it's Danny. How can she keep quiet and leave the room without commenting on Alexy?

"Poor bra! Can't hold her massive boobs. I think she has had another implant. Tsk! Her father's money is being spent on her daughter's boobs manufacture."

"Well said, Danny. One day she will die after collapsing under these massive boobs of hers," Bethany laughed and got a flying kiss from Danny as a compliment.

"You two have such dirty mouths. Stay and have fun looking at someone's boobs. I am going," Isabella flung her bag on her shoulder and stepped down as they sat in the third row, but Danny pulled the edge of her frock and stopped her from moving forward.

"Do you think we are stupid? We will not let you eat your lunch alone," Danny and Bethany placed their hands over Isabella's shoulder, which she swiftly dodged and trudged out of the classroom.

The suicide of Jenny Kostova this morning has caused a tremendous sensation across the Internet. There was another news that a car with four members exploded as there were bombs in the car. They could be gangsters, as every news channel had guessed.

Isabella and her friends had not scrolled the internet yet, so they were unaware of the news, but the canteen was full of noise and buzz. Everyone was speculating about Jenny's death based on what they read in the magazine or on the Internet. Some girls were crying because they were huge fans of Jenny and her acting, and for that fact, they can't accept the truth that Jenny was no more.

"What is going on here?" Isabella whispered. There was no queue at the counter. Instead, every table was full of people. Few of them were crying and most of them were chatting while looking at their phones. There was no food tray in front of them, only their whispering could be heard throughout the canteen.

"Hey, Lizzie, has something happened to Ms. Rachel?" Rachel was the owner of the canteen. Her canteen has been in this college for almost twenty years, apart from the other two canteens that are owned by the college.

She is a lovely lady, and her food is delicious. What makes everyone love her is her nature. She always handled everything with a smile and patience. No matter how much clutter everyone does, that's why half of the college loves Rachel's canteen.

She was not feeling well for the last few days. But her helpful co-workers kept the canteen well, however, the atmosphere worried Isabella.

"No, Rachel is fine, but there's a new update on the internet about Jenny Kostova. Check it out yourself." Lizzie patted Isabella's shoulder and said, which aroused the interest of the three of them.

"Let's grab that side corner," suggested Bethany, and that was the only empty table, also near the counter. Usually, they don't use it but today they have no choice.

Their hands were faster than ammunition, they took out their phone expeditiously from their respective place and began scrolling.

"Holy Fuck!" Danny uttered loudly, which drew everyone's attention. It was awkward. Quickly raising her hand, she said sorry and hung her head down on the phone again.

Isabella felt heaviness inside her as if a stone had been placed on the surface of her heart. Jenny was dead, whom she saw last night, crying and begging. She took her life just because a man rejected her. She was a top actor and was admired all over the world. How could she do that?

"After possessing everything under her feet, she committed suicide. A man's love is so important than her career, and her family."

If Isabella could express her thoughts or illustrate her feelings, which she was going through now, it could have helped her bear the battle inside.

"It's terrible. Everyone admires her as a strong woman who created such huge fame by herself, now she has taken her own life. But why?" whispered Bethany, a sigh also came out of her mouth. Her left hand patted Isabella's back as she sat on her left. She felt bad for Isabella because she knew Isabella liked her and enjoyed her acting.

"It's okay, pal. Sometimes we don't know what was happening in someone's life. All we know about their acting and script life. She proved that money and fame aren't everything. If someone wanted to live a good life, they need peace of mind, love, and care," Danny tried to soothe Isabella.

"Yes," Isabella answered, looking at both of them. She didn't share Jenny's untold story which has taken her life, because it will raise more questions or if someone eavesdropped on their conversation, who knows what kind of disaster would befall them.

Isabella was about to ask them to go to the library when heavy footsteps were heard and everyone's eyes turned to the door when they saw the Counselors entering and behind them was Alexander. He was wearing dark sunglass, while those counselors were talking more, it seemed that they were trying to convince him about something, and they rushed to the counter.

Everyone followed every step of his to the counter except for Isabella. Her head was down and her fist tightened. He saved one life last night and also took another life this morning. Soul instead of the soul, a devil's passion.

She controlled herself till now, but it broke the next moment as one Counselor said, "President, this is a redundant canteen with us. We don't know why our previous president did nothing, but if we want any canteen to be removed from the college campus, it should be this."

Isabella pushed the table hard, and it made a loud screeching noise as the table scratched the floor, skidded onto the next table, and she strode out of the canteen with big and stormy steps.
