When Isiah disposed of those corpses in the river he got back to his place immediately, he was afraid that he might be surrounded by hellhounds in a short amount of time, so he returned to his place after he got some grass and a few rotten fruits in the world beyond.
Something inside of him changed and the scary part was that he knew that, yet he chose not to admit it.
