Liam smiled not answering him. "I'll go check on her..." He pointed at Rory's room. "Inform me if they've got news about the creature... And sorry for losing your truck."
"Buy me a new one, millionaire CEO!" Frank winked.
"Ah... I'm sure the insurance would cover it, DAD!" Liam chuckled.
Frank laughed holding his stomach but then he turned serious looking at Liam. He didn't know what happened in the forest.
When Liam left the house, he was fuming with rage. He almost hurt Rory even. But that girl had turned him mellow like this.
"She's a good woman. Never even think about losing her," Frank patted Liam's shoulder.
"That's the plan," Liam said with a nod.
Mrs. Delport's word echoed in his mind again.

After knowing the whole story, he couldn't imagine Rory in the place of his mother. And he did think about Rory's fear of the dark and shadows, especially night terrors.
