"You know that I will never be ashamed of you, Cherry. You know it..." Liam tried to hold her but she scoffed and walked away from him.
Liam watched her drinking water. He could see that she was trying to calm herself down.
"Then why?" Rory turned to face him. "We've been through this. We've talked about this already. I told you what I feel."
Liam nodded. "You did. I was checking to see if you had changed your mind. That is all..."
"NO." Rory threw her hands up. "Still haven't changed my mind."
Rory took a gulp of water, threw back her head, and let the cold water slowly go down her throat. She didn't know if it was her pregnancy hormones or her character. She knew she was getting too angry for something that doesn't have to be made an issue.
She knew her husband was not ashamed of her. And he certainly does not want her to earn to support the family or anything. He must be saying that out of care for her.
