Rory walked into the party hall holding Liam's hand. Their ride there was very silent. Rory wanted to tell him the good news but he looked a lot stressed. she decided to wait till they reach back home.
Maybe he sensed that she was stressed too, but he didn't let go of her hand. The big hall was filled with people. Most of them were old. She and Liam were the very few young people in the hall.
They went not too early and not too late. Rory expected that they'd be ignored completely. But many came and talked to them.
The past few months altogether have been terrible for them. Although Liam tried to concentrate on business, with the trial going on, they were not in a clear headspace to concentrate entirely on business.
Even in the party hall, they weren't in the mood to enjoy themselves. They tried to make more acquaintances along the way. It was surprising for Rory to learn how many of those political people knew her grandfather.
