"I'm glad I can see it too..." Liam said.
"Huh?" Rory looked at him. She didn't quite hear what he said.
"You do have very pretty eyes..." Liam held her hand. "And I have an idea how your dad would have felt when he held you. When you hold your daughter... It's..." Liam's voice cracked.
Rory saw a glint in Liam's eyes as the colors fluttered around the vast sky. She tried to get down to sit with him. She wanted to hear him say how he felt when he touched his daughter for the very first time.
But he pushed her up. "Don't... the floor is cold..."
"But the railings are stone, and it is cold too! At least you will be warm" Rory forcefully tried to sit with him. She did not like to sit away from him.
"Here," he pointed at his lap, and Rory with a shrug sat on his lap. He wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her close to his chest.
