"You've gone silent," Rory told Liam as he was staring at his hand.
She wondered if he was still thinking about the investment she made.
"Nothing," Looked at his phone. He smacked his lips. "I was wondering when I started to stop listening to you speak..." he let out a deep sigh.
"It's fine. I did turn into a nagging wife by the time you had stopped listening to me," Rory accepted her fault. "Back then you were worried for your future...OUR future but I was so sure I should study law. You must have been so stressed thinking of ways to run our family while I was so dependent on the money my parents left me. I was under the impression that you too have it easy..."
"You were always thinking that it was OUR money, weren't you?" Liam asked. He didn't know if they had talked about their financials that much. But she never made him feel insecure about being poorer than her.
He did that to himself.
