Rory got to her grandmother's house expecting Bobby to be there. She needs to ask him a favor. Although she didn't know if he would help her, she decided to ask.
It's a long stretch that someone she barely knows would help her with such an enormous thing, but right now, she had no choice.
She got inside the fence and walked to the chicken coop. The night security guard would be there with the others in the mornings.
"Is Bobby home?" she asked.
"No, missy. He said he'd be back late today," he replied.
"Okay..." Rory was disappointed, but she didn't want to return yet.
Ellie moaned and acted fuzzy and Rory checked the baby. She was uncomfortable because of all the wrappings around her.
"Aww... Let's get it all out..." Rory walked inside the house removing the hood on her head. Ellie did not like the sun on her either. Her skin immediately turned red.
