Ares, dazed and confused hadn't realised the change in his surroundings until he felt his body suddenly fall backwards with cold air gushing towards him. Glancing around, Ares realised he was falling into an endless dark tunnel.
Strangely enough, the tunnel seemed to be emitting greenish smoke which faded rapidly like it never appeared. Amidst his dazed state, Ares finally gained his clutch on gravity. Beneath his feet, he felt the hard ground.
Scanning his surroundings, Ares came face to face with a vast land filled with ruins. The skies are dark as the dungeon which made Ares wonder if the place had been deprived of its light. The people moved up and down seemingly comfortable.
However, there was something strange about the occupants in these strange lands. Embodied with not only human skins but also animal fur. They were Centaurus creatures, mythical creatures which he'd only read about in stories.
But now faced with one before him he couldn't help but gape at them. Shockingly enough, in the entire population, he seemed to be the only two-legged creature present in the city. Just as he decided to wander the lands, he was suddenly knocked over by something hard.
Ares staggered and having nowhere to anchor himself, his butt hit the ground hard. A painful gasp escaped his lips as he rubbed the painful spot. He frowned as he stood up with thoughts to rebuke the culprit in mind. However, he was only welcomed by a fog of dust clouding his view as he coughed.
Ares heard a thunderous stampede of footsteps fading in the opposite direction. The criminal disappeared even before he was rebuked. How unreasonable! he thought.
Ares quickly gained his composure as he sauntered towards the crowded area of the strange creatures. Barely had he reached the area when a robotic voice chimed in his mind.
Just as his system described the name perfectly fitted the lands. A screen then popped before him as he read his missions.
He had been given a mission however he couldn't go in his casual pants. Recalling that he'd earned himself a hunting suit in the previous missions, he muttered, "Activate hunting suit."
~Ting~
Green smoke surrounded Ares as he felt warm air run down his body. Each part that the warm air touched was gradually replaced by something cold as ice. Ares shivered, however; the feeling was short-lived.
Moments later, Ares stood on the ground, his figure fully encased in a silvery iron armour suit with a couple of spots sparkling like a red flame under the dark skies.
Soon as the dressing process ended, a robotic voice announced; <
"Bike Mode!," Ares commanded. Within seconds streaks of blue light flashed before him revealing a large black iron horse embedded with gigantic round tyres.
It had a shiny body with a battery-charging engine. A small rectangular screen lay in between the two gear handles which showed the battery level and gear levels together with the speedometer.
Ares edged towards his bike and swiftly hopped on it. Studying the parts on it, he didn't find it hard to ignite the bike. With one swift leap of dust from the ground, Ares raced down the dusty road towards his destination, leaving a couple of trails as he disappeared.
Unknown to Ares, soon after his departure, the ground shook tremendously like an earthquake raising the dust from the ground into the air. The dust twirled a few times and merged, forming a human-like structure.
A human gifted with a pair of dark clear eyes that seemed to see through nature and beyond. Embedded with a physique so weak that one would think it'd be blown by the wind.
The delicately chiselled facials were that of an innocent female however his wide sharp jaws and the protruding veins that ran up the muscular arms were those of a male.
Glancing at the ground, he saw a strange trail running towards the other direction. A smile plastered on his face as though he'd just discovered something. Edging closer to the sand trail, he crouched on his knees and picked up a hand full of soil.
He brought the sand closer to his nose. His nostrils flared a little as he inhaled the dusty scent.
"Hmm, very smoky but not bad," he concluded to himself. With that, he clenched the sand in his palm and the next second, it dissolved into his body.
"It's time for some action," cheered the man whose body slowly began crumbling, as he turned to dust, a signature form of his departure.
At the same time, Ares had arrived in a congested area with a couple of food stalls and other groceries. It was a market, he denoted. Each stall had a female Centaurus standing behind it. Surprisingly, the food that was sold was edible.
His stomach suddenly rumbled with hunger. He'd lost track of time since he arrived in the strange lands. Ares saw the brief interactions and realised that they used barter trade.
'What should I exchange with?' He thought.
The best thing Ares could think of were coins hence Ares sought them in his system.
"YTA79, Do I have some extra coins left?" he probed.
"Yes, you do have 4 Mob coins left. 150 points will be deducted from you," came the childish voice of his system.
Ares was stunned by the sudden change of voice. He'd thought that he'll have to face the robotic voice but now they were having a normal chat like the first time they had met.
"How about I take a coin, how many points will I be charged?" Ares asked. Recently, he realised the importance of having more points. The more points he had, the higher the potential of levelling up.
The City of ruins was the first realm of the Multiverse out of the thirteen realms. Ares being a level one villain hunter, appeared in the first realm of the Multiverse. His system being secretive, only gave less information and the rest was for him to find out.
Before Ares could purchase the coins with his points, a red light suddenly flashed before him, displaying a red screen with a huge word scribbled on it.
