"I don't reckon you'd want to, so I'd better." Koan snorted his reply before placing Nancy down on the cold stone ground, making sure she was properly leaning against the wall.
Henry pursed his lips.
"The Kitsunes want to kill me for a reason. Just like Alpha Drake, and Justin... I didn't ask to be the centre of attraction Koan. I don't f**king want to be killed. I didn't force you to come here."
Koan laughed before turning so that they were faced off squarely, the cell gate, the only barrier between them, and the space they kept between themselves and it.
"Is that what you think... is that why you think I hate you?"
"Oh so you so hate me? Please do enlighten me as to why." Henry's tone was now brittle.
