Ann was just stepping out of her sedan, giggling while reading something off her phone when she suddenly caught someone's gaze on her.
Glancing up, her eyes widened when she realized she really wasn't alone at the car park.
Max was standing there, one hand holding bags of Chinese food while the other, a dog leash holding back bubblegum from leaping into her arms.
"I didn't expect we'd arrived at the same time, you're usually the one who wonders where I am at an event or vice versa." Max explained as he pushed his weight from where he placed his shoulders against his BMW.
"You sound pretty proud saying that as a manager." She sneeringly said as she casually leaned down to ruffle the puppy's fur, gushing when the puppy licked her fingers and face.
Max shook his head as he dropped the leash, letting Bubblegum hop into her arms while barking.
