"Bullshit!" Liliana cursed, Raiden pressing his fingers at the bridge of his nose.
"I just can't with you." He sighed .
"What's all this about us probably not being fated mates? Can't you just admit you love me?"
She parted her lips, but he abruptly cut in again.
"This isn't important. What's important right now is trying to stay alive before we're all wiped out of existence."
"What if," she pursed her lips before forcing herself to look up— to stare into his eyes. "I die tomorrow."
With an irritated frown, he narrowed his eyes at her.
"What if I die like Dora did?"
He chuckled bitterly, a pained look in his eyes as he glanced to the side, raking his hand through his messy curls before turning to her again.
"Do you really want me to answer that?"
