His smirk faltering, he released her and turned away before replying.
"I wanted good for you and brother, she did not want that... "
"Do you know him? My brother?"
He smirked again.
"He should have been here a while ago, but the werewolves are holding him back... Because they know if he reunites with you, the requirements will be met and I will be released."
Naomi stared at him suspiciously. The werewolves wouldn't do something irrationally right? There was a reason they didn't want to release him. There was a reason her mother didn't trust them in his hands... But for fear of his reaction, she said nothing, and only played along.
