Koan sighed for the nth time, running his hand across his face in a tired stance just as he found a parking spot.
The silence in the car was awkward, especially since Nancy didn't want to talk and he didn't want to talk to her either.
She was still angry about the other night. Koan had taken to her to cloud-9, and just before she had touched heaven, had left her just like that to crash to the ground.
"Get this over with and be quick about it. I have a meeting to get to before noon." He broke the silence, turning off the ignition.
"You seriously don't plan on sitting here while I do all the work, do you?" Nancy finally said, getting out of the car.
"I didn't break an entire skin care products set the other night. I don't see why I should be part of the shopping."
"You leave that car right now or I'm not moving as well. And we both know no one's returning empty handed or your cousin will murder you."
He glared at her and she smiled .
