The soldiers pull their swords away and back into the cover, "Your Highness, we should leave." The head soldier speaks, Yi Hua looks at the crying salesman, "Don't cry, okay? For now, I don't have money but I will pay for this dress soon." Yi Hua says, smiling and patting the man's shoulder.
The man bows his head down, "It's fine, Your Highness. I am glad you forgave me." The man says, with his head still down, "I am sorry to have you startled." She too apologizes, the man snaps his head up and shakes his head.
"Why would Your Highness apologize? It's me who should." The man says, kneeling down again, Yi Hua scrunches her face in annoyance, "So dramatic." She mutters under her breath, "Let's go then. He probably won't get up until I leave." She says, looking at the guard.
"Your Highness, it would be better if you eat at the palace. It's not safe for you to be out anymore. The king has demanded your presence back." The head soldier speaks, and Yi Hua notices a paper crumbled in between his fingers.
"Oh, let's go." She says, growing nervous. She forces out a smile and walks after the head soldier, "What is your name?" She asks, her gaze ahead while the head soldier halts, startled by her sudden question.
"Your Highness, was that for me?" He asks, pointing at himself.
"Whom then?" She asks, taking the lead and walking towards the carriage, "Look at you acting all mighty." Lu Yang Yang speaks shaking his head in disbelief, Yi Hua stops and looks to her side and glares at Lu Yang Yang but the soldier who notices it comes out of his trance and runs to her.
"My apologies, Your Highness. I go by Dao Ye." The head soldier replies, bowing his head. "Okay, I will call you by your name now." Yi Hua says, smiling at him while the soldier nods his head.
"I expect to be at the palace early. Please." Yi Hua says, getting inside the carriage, she heard the soldiers shout outside with a thud sound before she heard the horse neigh and the carriage move.
"I am so hungry. They just won't let me eat. I doubt if I can eat it once I reach the palace." Yi Hua grumbles, complaining as she caresses her growling stomach, Lu Yang Yang chuckles, "I thought you are clenching your hunger with attitude." He retorts back with sarcasm.
"Yah! I am just trying to adjust to this historic environment. Also, what's wrong with acknowledging my power?" Yi Hua says, her expression continuously changing from a frown to a pout and to a smile as she speaks.
"Acknowledging? Or using?" Lu Yang Yang replies back, shaking his head. "I just hope you behave in the palace." Lu Yang Yang mutters, heaving a sigh and looking at Yi Hua.
"I will." Yi Hua replies, shortly.
"How is that?" Lu Yang Yang questions, raising a brow, Yi Hua snaps her head at him and glares, "You!!" She shouts, lunging at Lu Yang Yang when the carriage suddenly halts, "Your Highness!"
She stops, widening her eyes and she sits down, acting calm like nothing happened when Dao Ye barges in, "Are you alright, Your Highness?" He questions, looking around suspiciously.
Yi Hua curses under her breath, "Of course, what could go wrong?" She questions back, flustering Dao Ye who was still looking around suspiciously.
"I apologize for barging in, Your Highness." He says, running out, all embarrassed while Yi Hua takes in a deep breath, "This is so hard." She mutters, in her crying voice as she holds onto the edge as she sensed the carriage moving.
"Hua, I meant it." Lu Yang Yang speaks, arms crossed and brows knitted together, "About what?" She asks, tilting her head, anticipating his reply.
"Your family, your behavior, and the Palace. You must not act out of character, are you sure you can recognize everyone once you get inside?" Lu Yang Yang asks and floats before her, Yi Hua gulps.
She forces out a smile, "I get all my past memories, right?" She asks herself, awkwardly smiling, she looks up meeting Lu Yang Yang's gaze, and he nods his head, "Then I would recognize them, won't I?" she asks, clapping her hand.
"But with the way you have been dealing with your surroundings, I doubt you can manage to be the same old Hua who is no more." Lu Yang Yang reminds her, she heaves out a sigh, "I am scared. I think I will mess up." She says, meeting Lu Yang Yang's concerned eyes.
"You need to first recite your family names and I will listen to you and tell you if you are wrong. Then all you need to do is stay silent once we reach the palace." Lu Yang Yang says, sitting beside her.
"But why silent?" Yi Hua asks, frowning.
"Understand the situation you are in before you speak, dodge any question you can't answer, okay?" Lu Yang Yang adds, answering her question more broadly.
Yi Hua nods her head, "So where should I start reciting from?" Yi Hua asks, biting her lip and looking innocently at Lu Yang Yang.
"Start from your own family first before you move to the rest." Lu Yang Yang advises, "Yi Hua takes in a deep breath exhaling it soon after, she licks her lips and thinks to herself.
"My dad, the King, is Yi Yongxi. And the Queen, Hu Xing, my mother." Yi Hua says, cautiously, Lu Yang Yang nods his head, "And I have an older brother, the Crown Prince, Yi Zhen." Lu Yang Yang gives her a grin and a thumbs up.
Yi Hua smiles, "I do remember them, haha." She adds, clapping her hands.
"Now name the king's other wife and concubine along with their children." Lu Yang Yang says, Yi Hua widens her eyes and gasps, "God, I forgot the polygamy the males do in history!"
She pushes her hair back, distressed with the sudden realization.
