"Your Highness, I have something to report on." Dao Ye speaks, knocking on the door outside, Yi Hua, who has been going through the things in her room, taking note of her possessions, turns towards the door.
"Come in." Yi Hua says, standing up and walking towards the middle of the room as she pulls a cushioned mat and sits on it, Dao Ye walks in and bows his head down receiving a nod from Yi Hua.
"What is it?" Yi Hua asks, Dao Ye kneels down and places his arms on his lap, "Your Highness, It seems like they both had something to do with your missing." Dao Ye says, looking up with hesitation.
"You found something, didn't you!" Yi Hua says, outright in surprise yet contentment, Dao Ye nods his head, "I found this on the way out of the garden behind your pavilion." Dao Ye says, pulling out a hairpin and then a jade pendant from the sleeve of his robe.
Yi Hua gasps, she yelps as her head throbs, clutching her head tight, she receives a flashback where she had gifted him that pendant, "It's his… I gave him this pendant." Yi Hua says, panting softly while Dao Ye nods his head.
Placing them on the floor before Yi Hua, he looks back up at her, "And that hairpin… it's mine. I have the other one just the same with me." She says, standing up and approaching the drawer closer to the wall.
She opens one and grabs the hairpin which is exactly the same, she yelps as another memory surfaces across her mind, groaning as she holds onto the drawer and calms herself and her staggering breath.
"You know, I once lost this hairpin, when I was young. I cried and threw tantrums." Yi Hua chuckles, picking it up and turning around, "Then, Brother Zhen had this same hairpin made for me but later on I found it in my room."
Yi Hua sits back on the cushioned mat and chuckles, placing her hairpin on the floor beside the discovered one, "How foolish of me, I had it with me the whole time." She adds, chuckling while Dao Ye smiles as she recalls her memories.
"Not that you have found it, take this as evidence to Brother Zhen and make sure, you ask him to have this evidence a secret as of now." Yi Hua says, grabbing the pendant, she caresses it as she felt her heart clench, it was a token of her love.
She gives it to Dao Ye, "I have no memory of anything before so I cannot be of help. We need to find some witnesses or more evidence." Yi Hua says, watching Dao Ye place them back into the sleeve of his robe.
"Yes, Your Highness. I will take this to the patrol squadron and hand it to The Crown Prince." Dao Ye says, bowing his head as he stands up, "Also, I caught them quarreling yesterday. Unfortunately, I couldn't catch up with anything." He informs, piping up Yi Hua's curiosity and suspicion.
"What? They were fighting?" Yi Hua widens her eyes, "Yes, Your Highness." Dao Ye says, "Hmm, you can go now. I will check up on it." Dao Ye nods his head and walks out.
Yi Hua frowns, biting her lips she tilts her head, "Why? Why would they fight?" She asks to herself, something is going on and that's what her mind told her.
"I got to know what is going on." Yi Hua mumbles, standing up on her feet as she leans down and picks the hairpin that she had taken out from her drawer, she smiles, caressing it.
"This really is pretty, I would do the same if it happens to go missing." Yi Hua says, chuckling she puts the hairpin on, piercing it through through the bun of her hair.
Smiling contently, she walks towards the door but she gasps as something strikes against her window, frowning she approaches the window, opens it wide she looks outside.
Seeing no one she frowns, attempting to close her window her eyes catches a scroll lying down on the grasses, "What? Who was here?" She questions, squinting her eyes and looking around but she frowns, catching no one.
She groans as she leans against the railing of the window and makes efforts to grab the scroll, she huffs, glaring at the scroll when her fingers just brush past them.
She pulls her hand back when something licks her fingers, yelping she blinks her eyes, "Yang Yang, is that you?" Yi Hua asks, watching a pud, probably a fox's, cute with those orange furs.
"Yes." She hears him, a wide smile creeps on her face, "Grab that scroll and jump to me." Yi Hua says, gesturing to him to hurry up, she extends her arm wide and Lu Yang Yang obliges her order, jumping in her arms with the scroll in his mouth, between his teeth.
"Such a good boy." Yi Hua says, snickering and caressing his head.
Lu Yang Yang purrs, enjoying being babied by her after a long day, "It's almost late and I was worried if you found a body." Yi Hua says, closing the window and walking inside.
She sits down on the bed, "Does that mean, this pub is dead?" Yi Hua asks, suddenly sad, "Yeah, he seemed starved and separated from his group." Lu Yang Yang says, snuggling in her lap while Yi Hua grabs the scroll and opens it.
"Who sent it?" Lu Yang Yang asks, Yi Hua goes through the letter shaking her head no, but she gasps, "It's him, Gu Chen." Yi Hua says, gritting her teeth while Lu Yang Yang looks up, bewildered.
"He is asking me to meet him late in the night, just as usual." Yi Hua says, sarcastically, "Are you going?" Lu Yang Yang asks, "Of course, I was intending to meet one of them, so be him." Yi Hua mumbles, clenching her fist.
"I still cannot compose my hatred and rage for that man." Yi Hua says, taking in a deep breath and composing herself, Lu Yang Yang puts his small palm in her hand and tilts his head to the side, watching her.
Yi Hua melts the moment she met his puppy eyes, "Maybe, I should take you with me. My cute wolf." Yi Hua says, picking him up in her arm and squeezing him with cute faces while Lu Yang Yang groans, asking her to let go.
