"What's taking him so long?" Yi Hua mumbles, eyeing the sky above her that had turned purplish dark with the crescent moon hovering above, she shivers as she feels the bushes around gushing in the disturbance.
The thought of something attacking her got her trembling, she could feel her body going numb, "It's too…c-cold." The cold breeze passing by her didn't help her either, the chilliness of the darkness had her wondering if she could stay the night.
Scared, tired…
That's all she felt except the coldness.
Lu Yang Yang was nowhere around but the more she stayed still the weird and scary her surroundings seemed, the eerie feeling of someone watching her didn't leave her mind.
Even though she had her eyes roam across the forest, she couldn't spot anything.
Luo Yan was still up on the tree, watching her patiently. He takes in a deep breath humming out in pleasure the moment her mellow Jasmine fragrance meets his smell bud, he opens his eyes, without his knowledge he was getting attracted to her.
Not that he would like to admit.
He closes his eyes to catch a brief scent of hers, he opens his eyes wide, frowning as he looks around, "There." He mumbles, tilting his head as he watches something moving her way.
He briefly looks at Yi Hua and then in the direction where he caught a different scent, his eyes glow red which slowly turns back to normal as he sits comfortably, wanting to watch what happens without his meddling.
"What do I do? He isn't back…yet." Yi Hua says, grabbing the dead body in her arms, the body cold enough to have her want to throw it away because coldness was what she didn't want as of now when she herself is getting cold.
Yi Hua gasps as she feels something move around, she gulps, cupping her mouth shut to prevent any sound or even her breathing from being heard, she looks around trying to scan the area for threat.
She widens her eyes, holding the cat's body close to her as she takes in a pair of dark red eyes watching her from between the bushes, 'No… please… this is not happening…' She says inside her head.
She remembers Lu Yang Yang's warning for her to run, and that's what she thinks of doing, she grabs onto the body tight, pulling it close to her chest, she slowly stands up and turns around to run but she screams out loud and stumbles behind when she sees another pair of eyes just before her.
She scoots back, grabs the body of the cat, and walks away from the tree, trying to run but she halts on her step watching herself get cornered by three beasts on the three sides.
'Holy…fucking…shit…' She curses inside her head, looking around as takes in three deadly big beasts, she hears them growl and their movement, and she closes her eyes shut in fear, gasping as tears brim the corner of her eyes, unconsciously she slowly opens her eyes to find them so close to her.
Her breathing accelerated, the beast was large, its upper body was massed and bulky with a thin waist going down with a little mass, its two legs supporting the huge body as its sharp-clawed hands hung on either side of its big body.
Luo Yan stayed content watching her, he narrowed his eyes studying the movements of the beast surrounding Yi Hua.
'God…Yang Yang…help…' Yi Hua says, letting out a shivered yelp as she watches a long drool drip down its mouth corner and land on the ground, `Somebody….help me!'
She screams inside her head, and her hold onto the dead body of the cat loosens, something she couldn't get time to notice under such deer pressure of being attacked by the beasts.
The beast growls, inching closer, Yi Hua takes a sharp breath while the body drops down to the ground, she looks around, spotting a long twig lying on the ground beside the cat she picks it up, placing it in front of her as she makes a circle watching the beats in fear yet determination to protect herself.
She takes in a sharp breath, "Get away from me, you beast!" She yells, she flinches as she hears them snort with a scary growl, in a reflex she takes a step back scared for her life.
Luo Yan snickers, impressed with her boldness, "She sure is something for a woman." He comments, standing up to finally show himself up before them.
"Ahhh!!" She screams, she lands on the ground with the best from her right jumping onto her, her head throbs badly at the impact on the land, she trembles as a cry left her quivering lips, slightly with fear she opens her eyes to find three heads above her, looking down at her with their drool around their dirty mouths.
"Oh god…they are so gross…" She mutters, grossed out with their dirty face and stinking breaths fanning above her, "Hua!!" Suddenly she hears his voice, bringing a smile of relief.
Luo Yan halts on his step and hides behind the tree watching the limp body of the cat grow alive and back onto its feet, he raises a brow up, intrigued with such a show before him. He chuckles and climbs back up on the tree, leaning against the trunk as he awaits the scene to unfold.
"Yang Yang! Help me!" She shouts, Lu Yang Yang screeches and jumps onto the beast which had, Yi Hua, tackled to the ground with his large-four fingered feet against her chest.
But before Yang Yang could touch the beast, he was thrown away, the beast had punched him away, and he landed against the ground yelping in pain as blood gushed out of the cat's mouth.
"Hua! I…I have no energy. What should I do?" Lu Yang Yang cries out, Yi Hua joins him as she wiggles around wanting to escape free, and the beast from behind roars out loud, Lu Yang Yang tried to get up on its feet but with no energy left in him to channel the body, the cat's body lies limp on the ground.
He looks at the cat's body in shock and then at Yi Hua, growing scared at the thought of something happening to Yi Hua, Lu Yang Yang floats towards Yi Hua and tries to push the beast away but he couldn't get a hold of it.
He looks at Yi Hua apologetically, "I am sorry. I messed up this chance." Yi Hua apologizes, tears running down her cheeks, Lu Yang Yang shakes his head no, "No, I am sorry." Lu Yang Yang says, hanging his head low.
"I really am of no use." He mutters, clenching his tiny fist, Yi Hua flinches, looking up as she watches the beast lunging his arm high up in the air for the attack, all she could do was close her eyes and be ready for the attack, the pain, and end of her life.
