Dracula gazed around the battlefield full of mangled flesh and chopped body parts of his enemies who killed his entire clan, friends and family of his new life. The ground was colored red from the fresh blood of the human soldiers as their corpses were spread around the throne he was sitting on.
Dracula had a tranquil expression and his eyes revealed carefree emotions as if he didn't care about this sort of massacre in the slightest. And finally, he asked this new ally of his, the one that called itself the Blood Sovereign System, about how it operated.
Because if Dracula was to plan his rise to power in this new world, he needed to know every crucial thing about it in order to properly utilize it and plan his future goals. For a being who even predicted his trusted allies from centuries betraying him in the end… every bit of caution was required.
As for the words of the God Osmodius… Dracula didn't trust him in the slightest. The Vampire Sovereign was a person who even questioned his shadow, let alone a God who didn't even dare to oppose the other Gods when Dracula was sealed and sent inside the Dimensional crack that acted as a gateway and connected different worlds.
Finally, the system of his decided to explain how it functioned.
[The Blood Sovereign System is an interface embedded in the soul of current user Vlad.
The system has 5 main functions.
1. God of Preservation had the ability of recreation. The blood and flesh of a living being is the basis of that recreation ability. The system will use that very ability to create new abilities and skills to make them available for the host Dracula.
This function is also applicable on inanimate objects and will help the host to create objects absorbed from the bodies of killed targets.
2. The system can absorb and gather the blood of the fallen enemies and convert it into blood points. 1 liter of blood will grant the host 10 blood points. Blood points can be traded by the host Dracula for various powers and bloodline-specific abilities that have been created by absorbing the bloodlines and bodies of the enemies.
3. The Blood Sovereign System will also aid the host via a Mission Reward system.
This is a feature added by the God of Preservation himself that will help the user Dracula to obtain more blood points easily but in order to gain them, the host must complete the mission given by the system without fail.
The missions will be generated based on the situation, and circumstances of the host and if they aid the host in his rise of power and authority.
4. The host will be able to read through the memories of the enemies by directly drinking their blood from their necks while the enemy is still alive. The system can create an interface that will allow the host to see through visual images formed after receiving the neutral signals from the targets.
5. The system can allow the host to directly scan and store knowledge from records such as books and ledgers. The stored information can be perfectly memorized by the host and can be retrieved at any given time as per the host's will.]
The Blood Sovereign System listed the functions in a single go with a voice of an archaic being. The voice gave Dracula an impression of it belonging to a female based on the tone and pitch of the voice.
"How convenient." spoke Dracula with a thoughtful countenance.
"This type of support interface fits very well with me. Although my original powers from the past life were much superior… it took me decades to create and improve them.
With this type of aid, I can use the powers and abilities of other species too. If I play my cards right, it won't be a problem becoming a God within just a hundred years." he said in a gleeful tone.
The first function had a lot of potential. In both lives, Dracula was only a vampire and he excelled in using the abilities and powers of his species to the highest degree. With the vast knowledge of his previous life, he could even make himself many times stronger than before and avoid the mistakes he did back then.
But the Blood Sovereign System allowed him to absorb the bloodline-specific traits and abilities of other species. Obviously, it won't be an omnipotent function and will have some demerits here and there. He was already certain that he would need to kill being of higher quality bloodline and many times stronger than him to gain good and useful skills to add in his arsenal.
But an experienced veteran like him could make use of even the low-level skills effectively with his plethora of knowledge and experience.
The second function of the Blood Points system was no different than a hard currency. The more he killed and gathered the blood of creatures, the more blood points he'd earn. This also went along with his Law of Slaughter that he had perfected in his previous world.
In the new world, if he could find a way to practice and use it, he would be 10 times faster than his old self.
So in a way, he would carry on with what he was already a master in… and that was Killing.
The third function of the Mission Rewards System was actually a neat trick by God of Preservation.
On the surface, it looked like it would help Dracula get more blood points easily… but in reality, it was just a way for Osmodius to make sure that Dracula would never be complacent and stop his journey to become strong even if he wanted to.
The missions will be created based on circumstances. And he was certain that there would be some sort of penalty for failing them.
Because the universe will always find a way to balance profits and loss one way or another. Only an amateur would be fooled by instant power while discarding the possibility that there would be a cost they'd need to pay for it.
The fourth function was very handy. Being able to read memories is a useful tool that could help him uncover many things. But the issue was that he had to kill a being for it.
Compared to his original power where he could directly invade inside someone's mind, live through their memories and unveil secrets easily without causing bloodshed… this one could be used only under certain conditions.
The fifth function however, was the most useful of them all. No matter which world it was… Strength was never the absolute form of power.
There was another aspect of it and it was called 'Knowledge'. Without the knowledge of how to use your strength properly and when to use it… just brute strength was severely lacking.
The rule applied to Knowledge as well. Without the strength to imply and use your knowledge, you were nothing but a helpless weakling. Planning and scheming could only get you so far in life but never give you absolute power.
They were like two sides of a coin that needed each other.
And this fifth function would also help him save years in acquiring knowledge and possessing extensive information in a world he knew nothing about so far.
While Dracula was lost in thoughts, the system spoke again...
[The system would like the host to set up the main goal to achieve in this world.] said the system.
"Isn't it obvious?" asked Dracula sarcastically.
He rested his back on the throne made of corpses as a devilish smirk appeared on his face. Finally, Dracula revealed his biggest ambition in this new world…
"It's World Domination."
