Hui Jian Yu brought Zixiong out for a walk at the back of the mountain near the spring. Zhang Wenyi and Zhang Mei Ling joined him.
''Brother, Zixiong values you so much''. Zhang Mei Ling said.
Hui Jian Yu smiled.
''Mei Ling, do you know what emotions are?''
''Emotion is defined as any mental experience with high intensity and high hedonic content''. She replied.
''The existence and nature of sentiments in animals are believed to be correlated with those of humans and to have ripened from the same mechanisms''. Hui Jian Yu said as he ruffled Zixiongs hair.
In humans, a distinction is sometimes made between "basic" and "complex" emotions. Six emotions have been classified as basic: rage, contempt, trepidation, delight, dismay, and stupefaction. Complex emotions would include contempt, covetousness, and sympathy. However, this distinction is difficult to maintain, and animals are often said to express even complex emotions.
