Chereads / Bite Back: The Bloody Wolf Bandits / Chapter 35 - Wolfhaven (Daken)

Chapter 35 - Wolfhaven (Daken)

I was correct to read Rothschild's mind before consuming him.

I thought this as I watched the big one.... Amari toy with Donovan....

The towering beauty frowned as her Familiar, the wolf named Lucian devoured Donovan's flesh.

Her face didn't soften until Barker handed her over some clothes, it was brief but I spotted a smile, soft and kind, the type a lady would give her lover, needless to say what sort of relationship they had.

Between her and that cruel creature.... Barker, I didn't know who frightens me more...

"You did well Ekaterina," Barker said as he patted the Shadowy wolf's head, tye creature emerged from his shadow and bounded off into the deep forest.

A few moments later, it came back with the head of my former host.... The master known as Dantos!

I was wise.... very wise to put part of my essence into Daken a few days earlier, the boy screamed for dear life back then, I don't know what his fellow slaves thought then, but the way Sara acted around us.... it's not much to the imagination what she thinks happened, hahahaha!

Still.... I'm glad the Bastard offered us mercy, I wondered wherther or not I'd have to beg mid battle for our life, I only just got this body afterall!

"What's so funny?" Barker growled, my smile melts away immediately, I'm not yet used to this host, and if Rothschild's memories are true, this Bastard would kill me at the slightest provocation, child or not!

I give the excuse of seeing my captor finally slain, that seems to have satisfied him and he takes no more heed of me.

I'm certain, when Sara mentioned his softness for Children, Amari bellowed in laughter and said, "You're lucky I'm here, else this cruel man would have eaten you without batting an eye!" Barker protested, saying he would have let us go! That we're too tender to eat now.

We all shuddered, even Amari looked a bit disturbed by this, "A wicked man..... Lord Fenris I fell for a Wicked man!" she muttered while giving him a nervous smile.

"Well, I'm sure Barker has told you of our offer.... but I'll say it again, join us as our.... eh what's the word again?"

"Workers? Slaves? Apprentices?" Barker chipped in, he sounded a bit enthusiastic about the slave part though.

"Yes! Apprentices! You'll shadow us for a time.... when you're ready we'll offer you the gift..."

"G-Gift?" Alan stuttered, the youngest of us, also the weakest and tiniest, he always looked up to my host, Daken, like a big brother.... if he only knew what I am now.

"She means become a werewolf," Alana said whilst rolling her eyes, someone's already calm, too calm.... that creature Barker looks ready to teach her a lesson for that insolence.

He steps forward and raises his hand, Alana squeals in horror.

"Yes we accept your proposal! Oh dear Mistress-"

"Alpha....." Barker said coolly.

"ALPHA! Alpha Amari!" I quickly corrected myself, the others didn't nodded their heads, having much more common sense than a certain brunette that was quivering at my back, I wanted to fling her off me immediately.

"Good.... now we leave!"

****

Beautiful, just beautiful.... that's what I had to describe the residents here.

All of them either had a pretty face or well toned muscles or both!

Even the ones in ragged clothes looked eerily good looking, were all werewolves like this? It seems almost unfair if they were!

Barker was noticeably a few leagues ahead in that department, but you wouldn't noticed due to how oppressive his aura felt, like a wild intelligent beast, fierce and cruel.... maybe that's beautiful in a way too.

"So this is Wolfhaven?" I muttered.

"What?" Barker asked.

"Wolfhaven, that's what the others call bluehaven now.... well since the fall,"

That seemed to please him as his lips curled into a smile.

He had asked us many questions on our way into the city, mostly about the plans of other cities within the continent.

I told him about plans of gathering as much silver as possible before engaging them.... which is partly true, they also plan on gathering as much Mages as possible before the eventual clash.

The more we tour the city, the more I grow to realize how much respect Barker commands in this city.

Some fear him, others are envious but the looks they all give him are a healthy dose of respect.... needless to say he is a pillar in their community, his sacrifice will be all the more satisfying then.

I didn't mention that because I need as much bloodshed as possible on both sides.

This.... would be the most beneficial to my plans.....

That being One Death....

"You'll be staying here...." Barker growled.

"In the observatory?" Alan squeaked.

"No you fool.... the building next to it,"

That saddened Alan a bit, I think it was the fact we wouldn't be staying in the Observatory rather than the insult.

"Well it's not that bad..." Sara said trying to cheer him up, the others chip in too.

I don't really care all that much, Because my plan seems like it's would take off without a hitch.

Other than some curious stares, no one seems to care about us all that much, and the mages.... if there are any haven't immediately found out about me, it wouldn't be possible anyways!

I went through measures to ensure the soul transfer would be seamless and unnoticeable, even to the a Sol Master.

It doesn't matter if they find out about me eventually, all I need is a month, to spread the ashes around here and then they can kill me for all I care.

According to the memories of Rothschild, to unleash one death, I need to spread the ashes of descendants of the first Sol masters across important cities across the continent.

Next I'll need to acquire a large amount of blood sacrifices across the continent, this war would supply me with plenty of those.

Finally, a moonchild needs to be exchanged at the birthplace of all Werewolves, the temple of Loki, Fenris' Father, to activate One Death.

Thanks to the bonds Barker and Rothschild shared in their past, connecting to his dream was easy!

The Bastard still thinks it was Rothschild himself, I'm certain!

Once he finds the temple, no blessings await him, I've made measures to ensure that.

He will be the first of many to be plunged into the depths of despair, as they're exchanged for Reavers, the Most vile creatures of Hel.

I can almost picture the fool's face as he suddenly finds himself in Hel itself!

Far from home and in an unfamiliar land.... His mind raking to find a way back home, something he will never succeed at, it will be glorious!

All I have to do is wait a few months and everything will.... hahaha!

My lips curl up into a smile.

"You okay buddy?" Gerald asks me, his Yellow eyes glowed with concern.

"Never better, I feel like everything is gonna be A-okay!"
