Nero ... or rather Kale was now walking through the silent forest in the daybreak, while it's habitats have yet to wake up.
"Kale..." Kale called his name softly almost like he was trying to get used to the feeling.
He remembered the hardships this boy had suffered over the past 7 years.
Although he was a genius who taught himself how to read and write in ancient language from such a young age, for some reason he was despised rather than praised.
He was born under the night of Scarlet Moon with a dark black circle on his back ... he was a descendant of the moon, a dark mage, and a potential demon.
According to his memories all he could remember before a headache struck him, was that he was cursed because all the other descendants committed mass genocide waged war, and brought destruction to the Midlands.
Thus he was 'cursed' too, which resulted in him being despised by his mother and neglected by his father.
The maids who were supposed to be there for his comfort however were the worst, they bullied the poor eve every day, from giving him ice-cold waters to freshen up every morning to neglecting his dinners every night.
His siblings however were ... just mean, like every other sibling he saw back on Earth.
The life of this boy... or rather the life he lived until now reminded him of his previous life.
The fact that he was despised just because of his birth status, he remembered all the regrets he felt before dying by the claws of those dore Wolves, knowing that this was it yet not being able to accept it, it's the twice he has felt that way.
"Hahh" Kale sighed before shaking his head to clear out his thoughts and making a vow. "I will never regret anything ever again...No regrets." he said to himself in a promising voice.
"Although I wonder what Luna wanted to talk about, I mean there are many things I want to ask..."
"He looked in a hurry as soon as the sun came up. Is he not allowed to be in the sun because he's a moon god?... meh what am I even thinking lol not like he's a vampire" Kale said, as he, or rather Nero has a habit to talk out loud when he's alone, according to his psychologist it's his way of coping up with loneliness which Nero discarded as bullshit before he shot the psychologist in the head.
"Ugh...This headache" Kale cried out loud with his hands on his forehead, he had this headache since he transmigrated into this body... or rather since he awakened his memories of the past life.
He presumed it is due to the clash in his personalities.
According to Luna, the current him is the real him, he is Kale, while the memories of Nero are his past life but what made him wonder was why his personality is still that of Nero.
He was certain if he have to decide who he is, he would decide Nero over Kale in a heartbeat.
After long thought, he concluded that his life as Nero was longer than his life as Kale.
Thus 'Nero' is overtaking 'Kale' when he got transmigrated which kinda made him sad, Why?, Even he didn't know the answer.
While he was walking indulging in such mundane thoughts, through his peripheral vision he saw the Castle from his memories.
"So this is the city of forgotten Pheonix... the Royal city Flazeret." Kale voiced out his astonishment. "The city that's the symbol of royalty of the great Zenith Empire, for in this city King's castle is situated huh," Nero said while admiring the city from its outskirts.
The city of Flazeret was built at the border of a traitorous jungle named 'silent forest' or the 'forest of silence' and is truly a magical curiosity. The forest not only protected the city from the north, which was actually unnecessary because the city was situated in the middle of Flazer Empire and no noble is foolish enough to march their soldiers towards the Emperor's city, but extra protection hurts none.
The mana plates situated around the city could not only deploy multiple mana barriers around the city, which not only would protect the city from all directions but could also envelop the city in a dome-like structure made of earth that would give its habitants time to evacuate if the time comes.
Its grace is matched by the backdrop of pristine skies which have helped shape the city into what it is today.
The climate these skies brought was of great importance, but they were also influential when it came to architectural designs as the vast majority of buildings have been built to great heights as if to try and reach the blue skies above them.
The skyline is scattered with stylish skyscrapers that house the king's workers and nobles that have yet to get their lands, even the houses of common folks were still majestic, maybe that is because anyone who's rich enough to buy a house in the king's city is already above the common folks of other cities. In all honesty, there is no place in Midlands with anything like this... that is according to Kale's memories.
The silver-haired boy has never stepped outside the city before until yesterday which was also proven to be his last day, so Nero who was now Kale, didn't know the benchmark for awesome but he thought this sight has definitely crossed that nonexistent benchmark by leaps and bounds.
"Soon I will awaken as a mage and be able to use magic, I remember Harbingers and Lightbringers could use dark and light magic respectively from the day they're born so they don't require to be awakened as a mage, but the practice of dark magic is prohibited for reasons I can't remember... although that could very well be myths because I don't remember anyone under the age of 13 use magic before, there's some kind of awakening if I remember correctly... agghhhh it's all so confusing" Kale scratched his head in confusion before quickly recomposing himself.
"Anyway, I should get going now shouldn't I..." Nero said while looking down at the city that housed a total of 15 million people from atop of a mountain. "The story of my death is over now... This is the beginning of my new story, the story of my rebirth, The story of Kale Dè Flazer".
