Blumrose was a mixed-blood country led by high orcs.
The country was said to have been found by an orc deity over two millennia ago.
And since most races viewed Demihumans as abominations of man and monster, the demihumans secluded themselves from the world united under the orcs.
Orcs were classified as intelligent and harmless demons. And they used that leverage to make it clear that they just wanted to stay within their country without causing issues for others. And they did just that.
Together, orcs and Demihumans eventually made their country- Blumrose- a place to be envied.
So, in time, people's view of both demons and the Demihumans changed, and eventually they were accepted- at least on a superficial level.
And that was enough.
After all, discrimination and prejudice were everywhere and no matter what- it was impossible to erase those- at least that's what my court mages taught me.
But- my plans didn't just stop at a state level.
Eventually, I was going to rule the world- even if it was just for a day.
I was going to become the emperor of the world.
And again, even if for a day- no one, not a single soul was going to be discriminated that day.
If I had to execute half of the world for that to happen- then so be it!
'Actually, why should the world exist if I don't?'
"Mew?" Kitty always almost picked up on my moods and kind of looked concerned for me.
'To think a cat's worrying for my sanity…'
Sigh.
'This isn't time to be thinking of mass extermination- focus on the revenge! The revenge!'
Anyway, the terrain was getting denser.
One by one, my vision was getting filled with green trees and large grass.
And lots of bugs.
'Wish I had some bug repellant-'
Come to think of it, I hadn't used any of my actual magic, had I?
I had quite a few unlocked spells under the system but those were unusable without first being suggested by the system. Not quite sure how that worked but that was that.
As for my own magic- I did learn a lot of theory from the court mages but due to my lack of talent, I never mastered any specific spell.
I could definitely make a single glass of water though.
Which-
"Water?"
Archaic symbols floated above my hand and a ball of water formed- a bit bigger than I had imagined. The size of a watermelon.
Yes, this was my magic.
'But those symbols…' Normally the symbols were either invisible or too small to be noticed, even from up close. But mine were pretty big- like really big.
And judging by my stats-
I didn't lose any mana.
'How the hell does that work?'
Were mana and magic not the same?
Or was the magic from the system and my own magic just different?
I was getting more confused than anything else.
'Sweat?' So, this was draining my stamina?
Flutter!
A heavy gust of wind breezed by, shaking all the trees and making the leaves dance.
I was walking without paying attention.
My two cats however were very attentive.
And they both just stopped out of nowhere.
Something was wrong.
Lots and lots of birds were flying above us- and the density of trees had just gone up.
"Gwrrr!!!" Mother cat started acting pretty scary, staring at something in the distance- in the sky- towards the birds.
Except- now that I looked at them-
There were no birds.
And a moment later- about a few dozen or so harpies came crashing straight for me.
'Oh, shit…'
I'd forgotten a very important thing.
Apparently-
It was Harpy mating season.
***
"AHHHH!!!"
Run!
Run faster!
I was their main target.
Some of them were even aiming for the little kitty.
Like what the hell, you Goddamn pedos!
They didn't care what's- they just wanted a dick.
Good thing the kid's mother was here, because she was knocking out, or sometimes even breaking the wings of those harpies.
This lioness was strong- was just an understatement.
Anyway-
Run!!!
Harpies- a type of demon with wings, bird-like lower body with divine topside.
It was said, if they truly became humanoid while abandoning their lower bodies- they would instead be the best-looking mortals- even surpassing the succubi.
And those women were literally coming for me, licking ups with hearts in their eyes!
They weren't here to love me!
They were here to eat me!
Literally!
"Over there!"
A cave!
Wait- what cave?
Was that mountain always there!?
Yeah, I didn't have time to worry about all that.
Run!
Somehow- we slipped it and the entrance closed.
On its own.
'Well, that's not good…'
It was pretty dark inside.
And though I couldn't see- I could hear.
Heavy breathing.
And a rather- devilishly charming smell that made certain things rise.
Something or rather someone was here.
And that someone was definitely breathing heavily.
It didn't take that long for me to figure out just what happened.
'We'd been had.'
Wham!
Kicking the entrance did nothing and-
"MEW!" with a sharp meow the kitty lit up like a lamp.
"I didn't know you could do that."
What I did know though, was that we really weren't alone here.
There was in fact- a woman.
A harpy to be specific.
A well-endowed, winged, devilishly beautiful woman. Just staring at me with a grin.
She licked her lips, taking a step forward.
I, a step backward.
[Reminder- Recruit and mate with a Harpy!]
'Yeah, I remember!'
