Till now- we were living in huts.
But-
It was time for an upgrade.
Namely- wooden houses.
We didn't necessarily have the architecture or funds to build anything solid, yet… but- "So, I'm sure you hate me and all, but what is your specialty again?" I asked.
They'd made me an office.
A rather- boring office but a functioning one. Amiya immediately took up the role of my secretary- always standing next to me- though she was my wife. While Marie kind of wanted to open a literal branch here- on which she was working right now.
The count and the guild headquarters even gave her permission. Shit ran deeper than I'd initially thought.
As for who I was talking to?
The Siren of course.
Yeah, I knew her capabilities and all that. But I needed to hear it all from her- after all, I needed her to work for me. Not just fear or hate me.
And that's why I called both the Siren sisters first thing in the morning.
