Aoi and Tsubaki walked their way over towards gate 12 after killing the rebels and upon reaching the area found an apartment complex to stay in as a temporary base. Due to the sheer size of the city, walking to the next gate took at least 2 hours so they needed to rest before they headed out again, especially after taking a small detour.
"This place should do, there are 2 beds, and we get a good vantage point." Tsubaki was by the window looking out to the city.
"The power is still on here and from what I can tell all the cracks come from the gates and branch out the further they go so most places should be okay." Aoi walked up beside Tsubaki seeing how the cracks in the earth seem to originate from one focal point, the military base.
"You have a rifle with a scope, can't you see if there are any of your squad members?" Tsubaki saw the rifle on Aoi's back and thought this would be a good spot to look out from.
