After kissing, Aoi and Tsubaki stopped any physical affection as it became rather awkward, but there were times when in the moment they would hug or Tsubaki would give Aoi a kiss on the cheek.
Aoi found herself detaching enough and was able to see Tsubaki as a friend and suppress any feelings she had before. This also stopped Aoi's parent's voices from echoing in her head and confirmed that their relationship was the problem. But in reality, it was a deeply rooted trauma when it came to making a personal connection.
Tsubaki on the other hand had been trying to squeeze her way back in but was always met with the same coldness and violence. It also felt like she was back when they first met when Aoi would hold a knife to her neck whenever it came to wanting to know something. And although she knew Aoi wouldn't hurt her, Tsubaki was starting to feel the detachment.
